Can my Aqualish Warrior use Melee Reach to attack Tarkin, even though an enemy Vader is in the way?

Much appreciated thanks

I'm pretty sure the answer is no. If I'm not mistaken, if an enemy is adjacent, they are the only legal target for that character.

I am going to have to both agree and disagree with Roque Saber. I agree that you would not be able to target the tarkin. I disagree on his explanation. In this situation for the attack both chars would be considered adjacent. But in order to make the attack you would have to attack through vader. If it were set up like this (see A) you would be able to attack either of them.

Yes, as because of Melee Reach, both Tarkin and Vader are considered adjacent to the attacker and are thus legal targets.

I agree with EmperorDragon. As they are both counted as adjacent, it's irrelevant that Vader is in the war.

Emperordragon is correct. It sounds like the others were remembering the old version of MR.

No. Melee Reach only applies on the character's own turn while attacking.
