I've started some repaints and minor modifications of some heroclix minis but I'm having issues removing the minis from their bases. Just wanted to ask you guys how you've been doing that?

I actually found a way to do it. I used a tool to separate the mini from the base. It's a set of clippers. The minis have glue on them, connecting the mini to the base. I did it without having to cut them at the feet. ThumpUp

I have some of the Disney Parks minis. I have some Reaper Base Boss 1-inch bases. I haven't tried to take the Disney Parks minis off their bases, which are not circular. I just taped (yes, taped) them to the 1-inch bases. (Sabine and Kanan.) Not sure if that's a permanent decision or not. They're now taller than other minis, but only as if they're standing on a step... which they pretty much are since they have the double-base.

Anyone else have the Disney Parks minis? Have you used them in games? Did you do anything about the bases?

I have a Teek and Ewok from the "Disney Star Wars Collector Packs Series". Teek is pretty perfect for SWM and I used a razor to cut him from his base and glue him to a SMW base. Used super glue. No problem and its been several years.

The Ewok's pose has him standing on some rocks and he would have been harder to transfer. But he's like, Darth-Vader-Legacy-of-the-Helmet-sized and I never bothered because of the bad scale.

I have some of the Disney minis and just use them on the bases they come on as they stand up fine on their own and are close enough in size that it isn't confusing. For removing herocix, I usually hold the moon shaped base of the mini with a pair of pliers and then aggressively twist the bottom dial off by hand. Occasionally you may have one that is really glued on well and then you have to use a razor knife to cut.
