This is a squadbuilding competition. The winner will be determined based on the same rules that are used in the CCC (customs) competitions. Everyone can enter and everyone can vote. But you can't win unless you vote. When you vote, vote for a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. 3pts per 1st place vote, 2pts per 2nd place vote, and 1pt per 3rd place vote. Most pts wins. Tiebreaker is 1st place votes. 2nd tiebreaker will be earliest entered.
You are building a thematic squad from the specified era. Feel free to enter a squad you've already built if it fits the criteria.
The current entry deadline and voting deadline are specified in the first post of this thread.
The rules:
* Your squad must be thematically accurate. Characters must be from the appropriate era, and it must make sense that they would work together. They do not have to have actually worked together in canon/legends, but they can't be enemies, and they can't be from different eras. If they are Unique they must be from the source material (e.g. Gha Nhackt would not be able to be in a squad from the prequel trilogy - only from the Clone Wars cartoon). Most Fringe non-Uniques can be used in most factions/eras. As long as the species/role makes sense for your squad, you're fine.
* All WotC and Vset pieces are legal. Squad size is 200pts, and squads must be legal in addition to making thematic sense.
* Being thematically accurate is mandatory, but as long as you clear the bar for that (your squad makes sense as something that happened or could have happened), the judging should be based on which squad is the strongest squad.
* Give your squad a meaningful name. If you win, the name will be entered into the tournament brackets later on. In your squad comments, explain why your squad is so great.
This will be a long series of squadbuilding competitions from all throughout the Star Wars universe. At the end, the winning squads will be entered into a single-elimination tournament to find The Best Thematic Squad Of Them All. For some of the squadbuilding competitions, the era as well as a faction or source material is specified. For others, the ones noted with just a *, only the era is specified.
Here is the schedule. We will not be going 1 through 32, though. We'll save the starred competitions until the end and start with the ones where a faction or source material is specified. With about 2 per week, it should take about 4 months to fill in the bracket:
Prequel Trilogy Era 1. Republic 2. Seps 3. * 4. *
OT Era 5. Rebel 6. Imperial 7. Fringe 8. *
Sequel Trilogy Era 9. Resistance 10. First Order 11. * 12. *
Live-Action "Era" (Mandalorian/Solo/Rogue One/etc) 13. The Mandalorian TV show 14. Solo 15. Rogue One 16. *
Early Old Republic Era (Up through KotOR2) 17. Old Republic 18. Sith 19. * 20. *
Late Old Republic Era (KotOR or later - yes there is overlap between the early and late OR eras) 21. Old Republic 22. Sith 23. * 24. *
Legends "Era" (after the original trilogy) 25. Vong 26. New Republic 27. * 28. *
Cartoon "Era" (Mainly Clone Wars & Rebels) 29. Clone Wars 30. Rebels 31. Mandalorian faction 32. *

I'm going to enter the one that I've played the most, but it is 4 years old. There's probably something better once you add in pieces from newer sets. In particular, dropping the non-Uniques for a couple more Uniques would give more chances for Chewie's Barrage, which is the main way these squads can win. --HarryG's Resistance (2017 Vassal Regional Squad)-- 35 General Leia Organa 34 Chewbacca with Bowcaster 33 Han Solo with Bowcaster 25 Rey 19 Finn 17 Resistance Officer 28 Resistance Trooper x2 13 BB-8 5 Rebel Trooper (209pts. 10 activations) http://www.bloomilk.com/Squad/173783/harrygs-resistance--2017-vassal-regional-squad-

I just played this squad in last week's Regional. Scored over 100 points against Etienne playing his 2017 Gencon winning Daala squad. Scored 3-0 vs a tough Jabba squad using Zam, Dash, and Mira. Scored over 100 and should have won against Jaba/Nighsisters but I made several really dumb mistakes. Rey: Leia's saber. Luke Skywalker: It was the last night of our training. [Flashback of young Luke and Leia training] Luke Skywalker: Leia told me that she had sensed the death of her son at the end of her Jedi path. She surrendered her saber to me, and said that one day it would be picked up again by someone who would finish her journey. A thousand generations live in you now. But this is your fight. You’ll take both sabers to Exegol. --Sabers to Exegol--35 General Leia Organa 29 Ben Solo, Redeemed 26 Poe Dameron 24 Rey 19 Finn 19 Resistance Captain 26 Nien Nunb, Red Squadron Ace 14 Luke Skywalker, Jedi Spirit 13 BB-8 5 Cobalt Squadron Pilot (200pts. 10 activations)

That time the First Order raided the Festival of the Ancestors on Pasaana. http://www.bloomilk.com/Squad/223237/scavenger-hunt--Scavenger Hunt-- 40 General Pryde 38 Supreme Leader Kylo Ren 23 General Hux 42 Knight of Ren x2 15 First Order Pilot on Treadspeeder 11 Jet Trooper 10 BB-9E 6 First Order Stormtrooper 15 Stormtrooper x3 (200pts. 12 activations) "You can't hide, Rey. http://www.bloomilk.com/Squad/223247/fulfill-your-destiny--Fulfill Your Destiny-- 42 Supreme Leader Snoke 38 Supreme Leader Kylo Ren 52 First Order Flametrooper x2 44 Knight of Ren x2 10 BB-9E 8 RA–7 First Order Protocol Droid 6 First Order Stormtrooper Sticking with my “what if” theme from the last time I entered, this is built around the idea of Kylo killing Rey for Snoke instead of turning on him. Lots of auto damage from the flame troopers and Snoke’s lightning, and can use Force Link and Pull to set up some nasty combos. Kylo with his knights can dish out a nice deal of damage too with Snoke’s CE and having greater mobile
