Most regionals I have looked at or monthly vassal tournaments are played with tier 2 squads. So those will not show us if any of these affect the meta. I am still under the belief that OR, Rebels, NR, and Sith are all unplayable at the top level. I couldn't say anything about Vong. We will have a whole new set to use before the next gencon as well. So what is the tournament where people bring their absolute best squads that happens before next vassalcon (gencon)?

The hard part here is going to be remembering all the tricks. They have so many.
3 new characters from vset 22, and one from vset 21, (and the rest seldom used), it's pretty much entirely a new squad type
Wedge gives +2 attack to all the Wraiths
Wedge gives GMA to everyone (Wedge has GMA Double himself)
Wedge gives cloaked to all the Wraiths (including himself) when within 3 of a Unique Wraith
Wedge has Charging Assault +10 when he needs to make that 30hp kill.
Face makes all the Wraiths a Commando
Face has Double GMA, Rolling Evade, and Presumed Dead (once down to 1/2 hp or less, start back at the starting area with full health)
Face has Wraith's Decoy, so can swap with a Unique Wraith within 6 when they are attacked (and then hopefully rolling evade away)
Face lets 2 Wraiths within 3 squares move up to half speed at the end of his turn.
Bhindi makes it easy to count distance for Piggy's, Face's and her own CE by giving all the Wraiths Relay Orders
Bhindi caps damage for Wraiths from non-lightsaber melee attacks at 20 by giving them Impact Dispersion Armor. FU Vong.
Bhindi gives Wraiths an optional +2 to saves vs enemy abilities and CEs via Counter Tech (this does stack with Kell's CE)
Bhindi allows an allied Wraith in LoS to make an immediate attack or use an ability that replaces attacks against an enemy that fails a save on their turn. (Dominate, Yum-Yammka Devotions, etc)
Bhindi has Advanced Door Gimmick, nobody locks her team out, not to mention GMA and a decent attack.
Kell has Double GMA, Charging Assault +10, Evade and Grenades 30
Kell has Defuse Bomb, Explosives Expert and Self Destruct 30
Kell gives all the Wraiths Grenades 20 and Self Destruct 20 (works great with cloaked, eh Nom Anor?)
Kell gives Wraiths +2 to saves
Janson has Accurate Double GMA with Charging Assault +10
Janson gives Wraiths +2 defense when within 6 of him
Janson has Survival Expert (+2 to saves) which DOES stack with both Counter Tactics and Kell's CE
Elassar has GMA with opportunist and Gambler's Luck (can reroll a miss with +4, lose 10hp if still a miss)
Elassar can heal anyone for 20, or 30 if he's within 6 of an enemy.
Elassar can't die when targeted by an enemy if he has more than 10 hp (you gotta target him 2 times in a row to kill him).
Piggy has GMA and Mighty Swing
Piggy can combine fire at a target within 6 to use Spotter +20 and Crack Shot (suddenly all the wraiths have pseudo suppressive fire when this happens)
Piggy gives Spotter +10 to and Crack Shot to all the Wraiths within 6 (again easy when they all have relay orders)
Piggy has Tactician +6
Finally, the only non-Wraith (but still pilot) Keyan, gets GMA, has Lightsaber +10, has override, can let a few allies slip past an enemy with False Transmission, and doesn't let anyone screw with Face's CE (or him receiving any) with they have LoS to each other

Huntress just goes so perfectly with Krayt (why she has GMA on the card? Who knows. But it makes this combo sweet)
Nihl becomes a beast with double twin with Melee reach 2 Jedi hunter and duelist.
Bandon juices up the whole lot, Krayt does his thing and Wyyrlok provides lightning support.
Not top tier but fun fun fun

This squad has lots of fun tricks, great movement, excellent power output. You can do the Meetra yo-yo for some serious damage and keep pieces safe until the full brawl is on. Reckless Attack allows AoO free pseudo GMA, guaranteeing you get that quick strike bonus when you need it. Ithorian jacks up enemy scrubs and can be quite a pain in the tuchus vs some squads. Malak proves ranged defense, and Revan even more movement.

Ok so I'm biased, I like Arkanian Jedi General Squads. This is certainly not the best one out there, but Green Jedi Soldiers were made to mesh perfectly. They get double GMA, they are melee to take advantage of the Dowutin's defense help, but have blaster for ranged attacks on the way in. They have Burst Run to take care of swarms and built in door control. OR Drop Pilot can lay down 80 damage GMA, and Jace has his bag o' tricks.

Ruusaan only adds a little here, but it just may be enough. Potential +10 damage to Venku and a good tertiary user of Venku's CE. Venku is so so so much fun to play, and now you can lay down potential 80 with him and 90 more after out activated, Mando of course does his thing, and you have multiple other options for consistent damage.

So this is a czreka fueled twin shots galore sorta squad. Shieldbearer keeps them safe at a distance (with body guarding Naboos as a backup near or far). There is a shocking amount of firepower, and once Lorn or Jax are injured (easy with painful screech), I-5 becomes a veritable cannon able to dish out 160 damage, while Jax does 120.

Ok - I don't even care. Pirates are gonna be so much fun. Mobile in and out with accurate predictable targets until the "boarding" happens, then step out and UNLOAD. There is a ton of firepower here folks, make no mistake. Do not underestimate these pirates. Also very proud of the name.
