if you strafe attack with a clone speeder, does the character you attack count as adjacent to one of your squares?

Yes, you make the attack before moving into the enemy's square, so you would be adjacent when the attack is made.

I've got it. The speeder is under the CE of Mon Mothma, and the figure it's strafing has SD. The SD is enough to kill the speeder, so determining the legal target for the Mon Mothma attack will matter. Ok, that's not much, but it does matter at least to a very small degree :)

Actually i was wondering more about if tarfful would give the speeder a +4 attack bonus or not during his strafe attack, but if the attack is made before the square is entered, then i guess it doesn't matter, however, it does raise a new question, how does that fact affect a strafe attack when you're squeezing? For example lets say you're going to do a strafe attack and you can base a character you're going to pass over, but in order to pass over him, you have to squeeze and then when you're back to normal you're already headed out of the square.

I'm not sure I understand your question. Squeezing has no affect whatsoever.

I was under the impression that you couldn't attack while squeezing

There is no such rule. You can't stop movement while you are squeezing, and a spot where you are squeezing is not a valid place to stop and attack for Mobile/Greater Mobile.
