Can someone please verify.

Gonna use Vader of Lothal as the example.

So after set-up, roll for initiative. Determine who goes first. Vader uses Surprise Move to a doorway. Is there a door check before Battle Ready? Does the door check happen after set up/before Surprise Move?

In-Game Chat.
The "Is Door Closed?" question is treated as though it's a Magenta Line. The Door Is Counted As A Wall from the Rule Book and Insert.
Since It Is Setup, The Door Cannot Open, So It Is Considered A Magenta-Line'd Wall.

Characters must spend an activation to make a door open,
so, Vader can designate that door as open afterwards.
That resolves before the first 'activation' of that turn.

The answer is no. There's a door check immediately before the first initiative, but after that, they are only checked at the end of a turn.

11. A pre-game door check happens (timing is specified in the WotC FAQ: “prior to the first
initiative roll”). Note that there is a pre-game door check, but there is no pre-round door check,
so doors do not open after abilities such as Intuition or Surprise Move.
