I had an idea for a tournament called Galactic Escalation. Everyone starts with a 100pt team they create. 1st round, everyone plays their 100 pt team. Next round, you have to use the same pieces in the 100pt team, but you get to add 50pts more to make it a 150pt team. Next round is now 200 pts where you use your 150pt team and adding 50 more points to your squad to get to 200. Last round is Epic! Everyone adds 1 epic piece according to their faction and it is now down to who has built the most overall consistent team. Winner is based on your total score over the entire event. Each round would take place like a normal tournament so you play your 100pt, 150pt, 200pt, and 200pt + epic team multiple times against everyone else's squad. I think it'd be a ton of fun! Definitely a long form tournament. I'd see it taking 4 months to complete. Anyone interested in this? We'd need at least 4 people who could commit to a 4 month long tournament and it'd be round robin if we have just a few or if more people are signed up, we can do it like swiss tournament pairings.

Sounds interesting but I think we should find a way to add more rounds. 100, 150, 200, 250, 300, then Epic 500. More rounds = more fun. You could even do a double epic at the end lol.

It sounds like the idea is multiple rounds at each point level.

Yeah, each round is played out over a few games. Your total points after that round then get added to all the future round scores and the person with the highest total after 4 rounds wins. If there is a tie, there would be a matchup with their final teams to determine the winner. It'd be interesting to see what people design when they keep in mind that each squad gets built up on and eventually you get a epic piece to add.

I’d really like to play in this. I don’t care how long it takes, but at least 1 game per week is a good idea.

If this works out well, I could definitely see adding 2 more rounds in the future just like you said. I just wanted to test this out first like this since 4 rounds taking place over a 4 month+ period is a rather large commitment. I'd like to give participants 1 week to get there match in.
