Official Balance Committee Rulings for (2023) competitive tournament play.

Simple Version
• Salacious Crumb gets Hutt Cartel.
• Kunra, SL gets Force Immunity.
• Daala still Banned
• Jabba DT costs 58
• Homicidal Surgery 30: add Save 11 to take damage.
• Characters being added to a squad must be listed on the squad sheet.
Each ability/ CE adding characters is limited to the build total.
• No Double tap cannon shots or activations per round (limited to one).
• (Soresu=Soresu Style Mastery) (Evade=Rolling Evade)
• 16-character activation cap before the first initiative roll.

*DotF 44 Salacious Crumb: Errata: add Hutt Cartel.
V-set design team requested errata.
Characters named Salacious Crumb are also treated as if they have Hutt Cartel.

*ITT 29 Kunra, Shamed Lieutenant Errata: add Force Immunity.
This was an oversight. V-set design team requested errata.

*CotG 27 Admiral Daala: Remains Banned for 2023
Daala remains banned as considered abusive in power and meta-restrictive.

*ATTA 20 Jabba Desilijic Tiure: Cost changed to 58.
Jabba DT featured in multiple championship squads and has become an NPE to many players.
The balance committee feels an increase in cost will balance Jabba’s power.

*Brawl 6 Dr. Evazan, Galactic Criminal: Errata Homicidal Surgery 30:
Homicidal Surgery 30 [Replaces attacks: touch; deal 30 damage to a living character; save 11. An allied character can instead remove 30 damage from itself with a save of 6.]

*Limited (sideboard) Reinforcement/added characters.
Characters added to a squad must be listed with the squad during registration. Specific characters added (Porgs, Rackghouls) do not require a list. Only CEs and abilities involving a choice of characters. For each instance, (CE, Reinforcements, Reserves, Bribery, etc.) lists of characters may not exceed the build total.
e.g. 200pt constructed: 200pt max Reinforcements, 200pt max Reserves, ect.

Lists of optional characters will remain concealed with a judge or T.O. until the end of the tournament. Players are not required to reveal lists of optional characters to their opponents. Opponents may request judge verification so long as it does not interrupt gameplay.

*The multi-cannon shot or “double-tap”
A character can only be affected once per round by any abilities and commander effects from allies that grant an immediate attack or turn.
e.g. Boba Fett can get a cannon shot once from 1 Bothan Noble in a round. A second Bothan Noble would need to cannon a different character that round.

*Special stacking rules
These abilities shall be treated as same-named abilities for stacking.
(Soresu & Soresu Style Mastery) (Evade & Rolling Evade) *You do not get both.

*Activation Cap
The number of activations in a squad may not exceed 16 characters before the first initiative roll.

These characters were requested to be changed to make them “better” in competitive play.

*RTP 3 Malak, Jedi General: No change
*DotF 9 Darth Revan, Sith Lord: No change
*LotF 33 Han Solo, Galactic Hero: No change
*TR 17 Luke Rescuer: No change

The balance committee has the power to issue errata. However, making characters “more fun” or “more competitive” is the job of game designers. A design team may request errata to correct one of their designs. However, community requests to make better versions of characters should go to the designers. We have shared these requests with the design team.

*EA 33 Nightsister Hunter: No change
*LTA 32 Bib Fortuna, Majordomo: No change
*KotOR 23 Captain Tarpals: No change

I have updated bloomilk with the card errata, and have also corrected a few characters and abilities which had not been updated with their errata from previous announcements:
-change to Rigged Detonators
-change to Suppressive Fire
-change Domain Lah Warrior's cost to 12
-add Low Caste to Unkar Plutt
-change to Jabba Desilijic Tiure's commander effect
-change to Bib Fortuna, Majordomo's commander effect
-change to Blast Bug
-change Warrior Caste Subcommander's cost to 23

If any other errata are still missing, send me a bloomail.

as far as the double tap/multi-cannon shot goes. just for clarification, does it matter if it is 2 completely seperate abilities that target them. FGor instance if a character was granted a cannon shot from a CE could that same character then be targeted through a different ability such as dominate in the same round?

As I understand it, no. The intent is that characters can't be affected by those types more than once, no matter where they come from. Probably the "activation" word is wrong (my fault)...it should be "turn."

Yes, a character is limited to one effect per round period, even from different sources. Wording isn't super clear in that regard (my fault, I couldn't think of how to make it clearer), but that is what we mean.

Thanks guys and gals, that is what I expected the answer to be but thought it could use clarification as there are several ways to give extra attacks/turns/activations and some are quite different than others (thinking mostly of dominate here).

Another clarification that came up on Sunday while I was playing. For the evade = rolling evade, this means you cannot stack the abilities and make 2 saves. However, they are still separate abilities and for instance a character with master shot that nullifies the use of evade wouldn't nullify rolling evade as it is a different named ability or am I incorrect and they would both be nerfed by master shot? As I understand it the intent was to try to avoid stacking abilities that grant the same effect, but as they are still named differently I don't think they are exactly the same.

Yes. They are considered to be the same only for purposes of stacking, and only as a matter of the floor rules for tournaments (which most people use for most games they play anyway). You can still use your Rolling Evade against Master Shot.

What was the change to Rigged Detonators?

It now only affects saves from Grenades, Mines and Missiles, and not the character's attacks.
