Randy has asked me to run this month's League Event, because Darth Real Life used his "Get Too Busy" special ability and Randy failed his save. So I'll be running it this time. As per usual, here are the tournament details: Format: 200 point standard Long Format tournament Duration: 3 rounds / no cut (Roughly 1 round per week) Time Limit: 75 minutes Pairings will be random-ish. Quote:Map List: Gangster's Vault Warriors' Enclave Cloud City Frigid Outpost Jungle Tomb Randy has put a cool spin on each event so far, which has helped to make things more interesting. I figure that since Episode 807 of the SHNN has recently announced the new Balance Committee rulings ( http://www.bloomilk.com/Forums/default.aspx?g=posts&m=279644#279644), that will serve as the new spin for this month. This will be your first chance to play with the new BC rulings, before Regional Season starts! For your convenience, here they are (copied from the other thread): DarkDracul wrote:****************************************************************************** *PtV 5 Tulak Hord, Lord of Hate Errata: Remove Darth
Errata CE: Non-Unique Sith allies without a Force rating get +4 Attack, +10 Damage, and gain Identical Forces. Gloom Walker, Lost Tribe, and Sith Eternal allies ignore this effect.
*PotDS 3 Dark Force Nexus Errata: Cost 20
Glossary Entry: Darth: Counts as a character whose name contains Darth. Characters whose names contain Darth also count as Darth for purposes of effects.
Errata: Dark Nexus (Set up on your half of the battle map at least 5 squares from the center. Cannot gain Force points. Whenever this character activates, remove 1 Force point from it. You may then add 1 Force point to 1 ally whose name contains Darth within 6 squares. Darth allies within 6 squares can spend their own Force points once per turn and spend Force points from this character once per turn. When this character has no Force points or no Darth allies, it is immediately defeated. No more than 1 character with Dark Nexus per squad.)
Errata: Easy Path (Force 1, replaces attacks: Move 1 ally with a Force rating and Melee Attack within 6 squares up to 6 squares. That character then loses 1 Force point and takes 10 damage; save 11.)
*Identical Forces Glossary Entry: Identical Forces: At the end of its turn, this character can switch positions with an ally within 6 squares who is the same size and has Identical Forces. A character can only have their position changed once per round by this ability.
*ITT 2 General Vaklu, Defender of Onderon Errata CE: At the start of the skirmish, choose 1 Unique Medium ally with a lightsaber. That ally gains Stifling Attack for the rest of the skirmish.
*ATTA 28 The Mandalorian (Din Djarin) and the Child Errata: Remove Survival Expert +2 and change to Tribe Intervention [The first time this character's hit points are reduced to half or less, up to 3 Mandalorian allies may move up to their Speed without provoking attacks of opportunity, then an ally within 6 squares may make an immediate attack]
*DotF 1 Bastila Shan, Jedi Master Errata: Starting Force changed to Force 2.
*CotG 27 Admiral Daala Unbanned: Admiral Daala is now unbanned for organized tournament play.
**********************************************************************************
If you want to play, please send me your squad and map info before the SHNN this week (Thursday, March 5). I'll announce the pairings for Round 1 the next day, on Friday, March 6. Squad info is listed in the first post of this thread. Thank you to those who've already calculated Rapport into your squad lists; for those who haven't yet, please send me an updated squad list with the correct Costs written into it. Thanks! Pairings upcoming...unfortunately we have an odd number of players so there will be a Bye. But since this is a casual event, let's institute this rule for this event: Whoever gets the Bye is welcome to contact any other player to play a match. The game will simply be for fun and will not affect rankings at all: the Bye player will still have a 3-0 win, and the game will not be recorded for his/her opponent. But it's better than not playing!

The difference between sci fi and fantasy is that in sci fi Karl Urban has short hair and in fantasy Karl Urban has long hair.

Are we playing with the changes to v29 Mon Mothma? There are design changes being discussed before the cards are printed.

No updates have been made to the PDF or posted on Bloomilk, and no change regarding Mon Mothma was mentioned by the TO prior to the start of the tournament. Under those circumstances, Mon Mothma should be played in her originally released form. HFGL

thereisnotry defeats Hi-Fives 232-93 (3-0) on Warriors' Enclave
He won the map roll so I set up on the left; he set up in the big area on the right side. Versatility: I swapped the Han and Leia pieces; Han chose Opportunist +20 and Leia chose Stealth.
Round 1: Just maneuvering, no attacks. Gambit for me. 10-0
Round 2: I won init and let him go first. He hid IG-88A in a safe but advanced position. I moved 3P0 forward so that he could relay some orders, then moved Sabine up so that she would make it impossible to target 3P0. However, Jordan used his Pit Droid to push IG-88AD forward far enough so that he could shoot a Pulse Cannon (twice) at my conglomeration of Han, Luke, Chewie, and Sabine! 50dmg to Han, Luke, and Chewie, and 20dmg to Sabine. That was painful. Sabine moved forward to toss a grenade (save 15) but Jordan naturally made it. Han then hit one of his two attacks, so AD was down to 80hp. Kneesaa moved forward as a blocker, and the little IG-86 droid swapped AD out of danger. Leia pushed Luke and Chewie forward, then Chewie deleted the IG-86 and Kneesaa. T3 double-flamed Chewie (down to 50hp) and Targeted him. IG-88B took some shots, but Chewie evaded them. IG-88BH took some shots, hitting all 4...but Chewie evaded all of those too! Luke used OWF to ensure the kill on T3. Then R2 had Such Devotion that Luke ran back to his droid friend. Gambit for me. 48-0
Round 3: Jordan won init and IG-88AD used Pulse Cannon twice, but Chewie miraculously dodge both of them so he was alive with 30hp. Sabine moved up to Grenade IG-88BH and the Pit Droid, but both of them made the save 15s. Chewie then charged bravely forward to delete IG-88BH. He was then missed twice by IG-88B, who swapped for A, who killed Chewie and retreated to relative safety. Leia pushed Han and Luke. Luke moved in and deleted AD, then moved back toward R2 again. Gambit for me. 141-44
Round 4: I won init and Luke moved up to delete IG-88A. B put 20dmg onto Luke. Sabine tossed a grenade that everyone dodged. Han shot B for big damage (down to 20hp). Gambit for me. 187-44
Round 5: Jordan won init so B moved up to kill Han. Grenade on a group of people, but once again Jordan's dice were hot; but this time mine weren't, so 3P0 went down. Luke moved in to finish off B, and that was the game. 232-93
When Jordan did that big double-Pulse Cannon, I was worried because all of my main attackers took heavy damage. However, Chewie wearing his dancing shoes to dodge 6 shots and 2 Pulse Cannons (all while at 50hp) was a big turning point...if he goes down there, I think we've got a different outcome because Luke only had 60hp (and Han had 40) and wouldn't have had enough tempo to take out all 4 Iggys by himself. It's a special delight to get to play SWM with my son!

Just for fun, not for points "bye" match: Compos Mantis (gandalf) defeats Heroes of Endor (thereisnotry) 212-128
Trevor won map and picked Gangster's Vault. I took the right and set up in the Storage room. Trevor set up in the bottom left.
Round 1 we both did normal advancement stuff. Chewie roared at Leia and I managed to not get gambit due to forgetting diplomat. I had the middle door locked with my R7, Trevor had Luke in gambit. 0-10
Round 2 was where the fun began. Threepio opened the middle door and Sabine got behind him to keep Diplomat active. I moved some scrubs and then Leia pushed a Walking Carpet 12 squares (with Luke bringing up the rear). Chewie came into the room where all my guys were and bashed Cere Junda twice (failed Reflect, 40HP). Bail Organa airlifted Merrin around a different corridor and she intercepted Luke, hitting him four times with Cunning and Mothma's +10. He failed to put up a good Defense (needing a 9) and kicked the bucket. Han took his revenge and deleted Merrin with Opportunist. Artoo pulled Leia back to a safer distance. I blew up the top door and Cere broke free from Chewie with the help of a vision from a Loth-cat, then spent a Force to get adjacent to Leia and slew the Force's last hope. Cal went after Chewie and got 1 hit past Parry, triggering Disruptive and losing his next two attacks (no GMA). Greez and the Shieldbearer both attacked Chewie and got 30 more damage through Parry/Evade (80HP left). 68-49
Round 3, Trevor won init. Sabine dropped a grenade on Cere; she failed her save 15 and reroll and died. Greez shot at Chewie and got a crit through, then Cal finished the job. (Chewie rolled abysmally on his Parries and Evades- with average rolls he would at least have gotten another turn). Han killed a Tantive trooper and dealt 20 to Bail. 122-107
Round 4, Trevor won init. Sabine didn't have a good grenades target so she shot two ugnaughts dead. Bail pulled Cal up the map and he wiped out Han with his four attacks. Artoo took out a trooper and Greez busted that bucket of bolts. 187-128
Round 5, Sabine won init and moved away to throw a final grenade but Cal rolled two crits on the AoO before she could do it.
Thanks Trevor for magnanimously playing an additional game so I'd have something to do this round. Unfortunately, now I've revealed all the Mantis Crew tricks and used up all my luck, so if I play him again, I will almost certainly lose.
