You're flying along strafing, defeat a Kel Dor BH in cover. Does your strafer get 40 damage? If not does the Kel Dor BH get cover?
A thousand pardons if this has been answered in the last 55 pages.

The Strafer would take damage from Self Destruct as the characters are adjacent at the time of the attack.

Actually Juiceman, because they are adjacent is why the Kel Dor does not receive cover.
As for taking the Self Destruct damage, that's because SD's only stipulation is adjacent.
Flight has nothing to do with either interaction. ;)
Now...where Flight comes in is when strafing the enemy does not get an AoO.

My problem was "reality creep". Because it's Strafing it's flying and if it's flying it's not adjacent. As an actual airplane strafing ground troops.
