Satine Kryze

Cost: 22
Mandalorian

Hit Points: 40
Defense: 14
Attack: 3
Damage: 10
Base: Medium

Special Abilities
Diplomat

Commander Effects
Adjacent Mandalorian allies gain Bodyguard. Mandalorian followers within 6 squares can immediately move up to 3 squares and make an attack when they are defeated.

Design notes: The Mandalorians could use an additional way of adressing the outactivation threat. Comparing three already established options, activation control, swap and death attack the latter seemed the least used overall and also most appropriate for the Mandalorians. A final heroic effort on the verge of destruction... we would not expect any less from such renowned warriors would we? Satine Kryze is based on Mon Mothma, with a few changes to provide some variety. Movement 3 squares instead of +10 damage is probably less effective. It does allow for slightly improved target selection though and would represent a more disciplined final effort rather than the berzerk attack Mon Mothma provides. Bodyguard for adjacents have been used before. The combination of Bodyguard and "death attack" should provide an additional option though, where a figures bodyguards damage, is defeated and then immediately may attack. Diplomat add some survivability to Satine and could possibly be useful in combination with the Stealthed and Cloaked Mandalorians. Cost could be anywhere from perhaps 17 to 25 depending on how effective she would turn out to be in actual play.

for 22 points, IMO not worth it. agree with yggral, i do. need some more stats, Satine Kryze does. (A swap CE instead of the bodyguard CE, i propose?)

Seriously though, I would not add swap to the figure but 22 might well be too high for what she offers. As for the repeating blaster, yeah, it does seem a tad unlikely. But she is a Mandalorian, no telling how she may have been brought up :)

That is an interesting suggestion. Satine in a republic squad would do nothing but Obi-Wan in a Mandalorian squad.. may just be too much though. If Obi-Wan showed up in every other Mandalorian squad, would they stay Mandalorians then or would they turn into "those friends of Obi-Wan's". Satine then probably would have to be overcosted to prevent an Obi-Wan epidemy and then she'd be no good in Mando squads without Obi-Wan.

If you mean the stuff about Obi-Wan, I simply meant that Mandalorians should first of all be Mandalorian. There are several very good Obi-Wan figures. If those very good Obi-Wan figures was to be included in too many Mandalorian squads that would degrade the "Mandalorianness" of the Mandalorians. Mandalorians are supposed to be about Mandalorians IMO and not about a jedi like Obi-Wan. Don't know if that makes it any clearer.

Considering how Mon Mothma was mostly good for making scrubs hit well above their weight class and Satine would not be able to to anything like it I suppose a cost of perhaps 18 might be better. In terms of capability upgrades, perhaps she could give defeated characters a whole activation instead of merely one attack.
