How exactly does Vassal work and is there an easy way to get it on my computer? Ive talked to people at tournaments that say they have tried to use it but could not get it to work, so can a non-computer savvy guy like me hope to figure it out?

I have been meaning to move that since Shinja created the Vassal section anyway. So thanks for the reminder! When I first tried to figure Vassal out, I was perplexed as well. I took a couple days and walked thru it with some help from other members. Once I figured it out, I created a post that helped people install it. However, since then, other members (like Ruhk) have gone way over the top and posted awesome help threads like the one linked above. Way to go guys! If you have any other troubles, don't be afraid to ask. Just post it and someone will be around to help out.

My brother and I both installed it at the same time and then spent an evening trying to figure out how to play eachother. It was pretty cool. But then I downloaded all the extra maps and that confused me because they all saved themselves into different files.

Vassal does take a bit of getting used to but once you have it set up it's real easy.
Just wish I had more time...

Ok I could not figure it out but my son the computer guru helped me and its ready I just need to learn how to play. I guess the best way is to play someone online but when I click find someone online to play there is no-one there? How do you find people to play against?

You just have to wait until someone else shows up in the lobby. Usually, people are on in the evenings. =)
