my mates and I (4 of us) get together every Wednesday night to play and more often then not we do 4 way, 2 on 2, and capture the flag Battles

I also love making maps, here's a link to my custom maps thread where I have put up full downloads.

http://www.bloomilk.com/Forums/Default.aspx?g=posts&t=7112

i've also made some 4 way battle maps

Battle 1

Battle 2

Battle 4 - the other night we played this map and we had a rule that you only score points from the player to your left, it ended up being an awesome game and one we'll play a lot more.

Battle 5 - this is a good capture the flag map, we play that once you pick up the flag that ends your move, and while you are carrying the flag you only move at half speed and abilities like swap, levitate, tow cable only do half distance (no Mas-swapping)

pretty simple maps with no low objects and stuff but we have awesome games

What do you guys think? anyone else play the same sort of thing?

Great Maps!! We used to do the same type of maps a few years ago! Your's look very balanced. That was one of the problems we had with 4 way battles. Capture the flag is a great way to go to.

There used to be a lot more people around here that played. Now we mostly play on Vassal. Great Maps though. Youve Motivated me to get more friends together again!BigGrin

yeah that's the reason I make the symmetrical maps for our group games.

sometimes we do a gambit kinda thing where if you get a character to one of the middle 4 squares, you get 10 points on your score and the character gets regeneration 10. so if you get 4 dudes in the middle you'll be getting 40 points a round but it also makes you a major target.

Also, Boards like this give Melee fighters a chance . Usually even a powerful Jedi doesn't have much of a chance against shooters. I hate Long range shooters!Cursing lol

Does anyone know any WotC made good capture the flag maps? we always played on cristophisis, and anyone who ran to get the flag in the middle got shot to pieces. As for Imp base, the player on the right got his door control killed, then locked in. Don't even get me started on Korriban.

Maybe the invisible hand map in the RotS starter set, where the rulebook explains it completely.
