In London, Ontario my 13 year old son had won with his "Lord Vader's Date" squad. He faced a New Republic squad in the final that was won by 6 pts. He had swaped Lobot across the board to get him away from Mara and Kyle. The tournament was a lot of fun, and I'm glad we drove 3 hours to get there from Buffalo.

His squad was:
--sprint and swap--
71 Lord Vader
32 Thrawn (Mitth'raw'nuruodo)
31 Arica
27 Lobot
11 Admiral Ozzel
8 Mas Amedda
8 R7 Astromech Droid
5 Salacious Crumb
4 Gran Raider
3 Rodian Brute

Don't look at the reinforcements. That's not what he would take. Against Bastila he would take an Amanin Scout Brute and Gran, because he knew that they don't use the battle meditation on the first round so that's when he would have to make his move. Against a lot of acts he would take 4 brutes and 2 grans. Against Lancer (he didn't face) he would take Gamorean BG Brute and Gran so that when it comes in it can't kill salacious and he gets disrupted.

Congrats to your son! We had a 13yo make it to the finals in the VA Regional Tournament this past Saturday. Would have been very interesting to have two 13yos win two different Regional Tournaments on the same day!

Congrats to your son! I think its great to have such young people interested in the game. Its amazing to think that there is still such a strong draw to the star wars universe more then thirty years after it first hit the cinemas. My son who is 4 is interested in everything I do and as a result loves star wars. He'll sit on the sofa with me and watch me surf bloomilk on the ipad and when we watch the movies every character he sees he asks me if I have that one. It shows you how truely epic Star Wars really is to span so many generations. I love the mythos that makes up Star Wars and I wasn't even born until a couple of months after The Empire Strikes Back was released.
