Okay - I'm assuming that I have this right... Sith Sorcery (and other 'usable on this characters' turn' effects) have to be used prior to or after moving - not during, right? I mean, I couldn't move 4 squares to get the best possible position and then move a further 2 and attack... or a further 8 from there... right?

Correct. Zero-time abilities and force powers, while they can be used at anytime during the turn, cannot be used in the middle of another action.
