If an adjacent ally would take damage from an attack, this character may move up to its speed to become adjacent to the attacker. If this character is adjacent to the attacker, it takes the damage instead, and the attacker takes 10 unpreventable damage.

Glossary Text

If an adjacent ally would take damage from an attack, this character may immediately move up to its speed to become adjacent to the attacker. If it cannot become adjacent to the attacker, it cannot move. If this character is adjacent to the attacker after this movement (or was already adjacent), this character takes the damage instead of the ally, and the attacker takes 10 damage; this damage cannot be prevented.
