After my trip to Gencon 2012 some things happened. I got really busy (goodbye free time for games) and decided it would be nice to see what it is like to avoid spoilers for the up coming set. Knowing that I don't have the self control to not open spoiler threads if I am browsing the Bloo anyway, I stepped away from here to keep it all a secret from me.
I just got the cards in the post and boy oh boy am I happy with them!! It was like Christmas!! So many new toys to try! Combine that with the fact that I know pretty much nothing about the state of the game, and I have some seriously fun months ahead of me!!! I guess I just wanted to say that being surprised by a set is great fun! I recommend it to all.

That does sound fun but I'm not sure I could stand not being on Bloo Milk for months on end...

I have the opposite thing going on. Haven't had a chance to play set 4 much yet since it's been released (But I was on the playtest commitee), just got set 5 which I was on the playtest committee for as well, playtester for set 6 and a designer for set 7.
I have so many "new" sets of stats in my head it's hard to keep straight which is out and which isn't yet, which stats are final and which ones changed (umpteen times).
It's a lot of mental juggling, and I obviously CAN'T be surprised by anything for a long while.
Sounds fun to do it that way though!

Sounds fun to do it that way though! I have to admit, if I was trying to keep all of that straight and be constructive, it would be fairly easy to surpise me.
