Welcome everyone to round 1 of the Galactic Escalation tournament for the Fall of 2025! The squads for this round are 125pts. Game length is 75 minutes and gambit is worth 6pts. There will be 1 week starting today (October 10, 2025) to get your matchups in. Please complete your games by midnight (Eastern time: GMT-5:00) on Thursday, October 16, 2025. If anyone needs extra time, we can extend the time needed; just let me know via BM. EDIT: (copied here from the Info thread, where I first added it) We’ve got 8 players, which means two divisions of 4 players each. For the first 3 rounds of the events (125, 175, and 225pts) you will be playing in a round robin format against the other people in your division. Then, for Round 4, each person will be paired with someone from the opposite division. After that we’ll determine who makes the playoffs. For this season, I've decided to name the divisions after two famous hyperspace lanes: Kessel Run DivisionHydian Way DivisionRegarding playoffs: Since we have a total of 4 players, it seems about right to do a Top 4: the top two players from each division will advance to the semi-final round: --1st place from the Kessel Run division will play vs 2nd place from the Hydian Way division --1st place from the Hydian Way division will play vs 2nd place from the Kessel Run division And then, if the 3rd and 4th place players from each division are interested, they could play a couple of "consolation playoff" matches, just because it could be fun. That'll be up to them, when we get to that point. Lightsaber finally defeats gandalfthegreatestwizard 149-54 (3-0) on Desert Palace.
Round 1: Tulak gets Stifling, Mae gets Distraction, Feln activates Force Awareness. None of these abilities are ever used. My ugnaughts commit arson in the back. 0-0
Round 2: We get into gambit. More arson. 6-6
Round 3: The ugnaughts finally make it up to gambit and blow up the central door. I take some shots at the incredibly well-defended Covenant - all Defended. 12-12
Round 4: More Defendering. Feln and the Defender run up to take a crack at Tulak, doing a total of 40damage after two misses and a successful Shein roll on a Reflexive Throw. Mae assassinates the Defender with knives and a Push. Feln is finally undefended and takes some fire. Q'Anilia attacks Vaklu, Raana stands behind. Tulak crits Feln to defeat him and the ugnaughts flank the weakened Covenant around the top of the map. 69-18.
Round 5: Gandalf wins initiative and takes out Vaklu. Q'Anilia starts taking fire from the DK Assassin and Mae. The Sentinel unwisely kills an Ugnaught - but he will be avenged. Raana hits Tulak, but he hits Q'Anilia in revenge and takes her out. Then Tulak activates and scores two Rageful Crits on Raana, who Defences one. The Ugnaughts continue to flank. 97-54.
Round 6: Raana whacks Tulak, Tulaks whacks her back to kill. The DK assassin shoots at the Sentinel, leaving him on 10. Then the Ugnaught charges in to avenge his brother and punches the Sentinel into yesterday. Tulak finishes Krynda for a full squad wipe 149-54
Moral of the story: Don't mess with Ugnaughts. (Also Tulak took out four Covenant Uniques and still had 40hp left, even without SSM?!?!).

NoffyD defeats urbanjedi 125 - 26 (3 - 0) on Anchorhead
he won map, i set up on left. round 1 we go up. crimmy corsair gets into the main room.
round 2 i kill crimson corsair with mando because of some unlucky rolling. he chucks a grenade with nym but i make both saves with mando and the alpha. more stuff happens.
round 3 i run with alpha and deal 70 on aurra and mando finishes her off. vornskr dies.
round 4 i kill hondo and nym runs up and hits talon for 20. talon hits back and misses.
round 5 mando shoots at nym, nym hits talon, talon runs away and takes 30 from an aoo so hes on 10.
round 6 nym dies from mando. talon takes an aoo from breachman but breachman misses.
overall a good game, i rolled lots of evades which stopped it from being closer. we actually played twice and he thrashed me on the first game, but he'd read a crimson's ce wrong so we had to rematch.

DarthMaim defeats thereisnotry 143-50 (3-0) on Anchorhead. I swap Han ( takes opp +20 ) and Leia ( takes accurate shot ). Tint wins the map roll and defers to me. I choose the left side and set-up in the middle-upper room, he sets up on the right side in the middle area, just outside the main middle door. Rnd 1: I win init, and we both start our trek to gambit, I move my guys towards the middle left door to the gambit room, he to the middle door on the right side to the gambit room. Chewie roars, as he ends his turn next to Leia, and her CE kicks in. R2 locks the middle left door to gambit. How rude! Neither of us get gambit. Rnd 2: He wins init and has me go first. R2 ends adjacent to the left middle door to the gambit room, and at the end of his turn, the door he's adjacent to opens and he locks the right middle door to the gambit room. How rude! Tint blows the door with an Uggie, and Yo'Gabba Gabba moves in to the gambit room. I move a mouse and an Uggie to block any unwanted visitors, just outside of the left middle room door. Tint leaves Khalee outside the gambit room, so that he doesn't get shot by Chewie or Han. Tsavong moves in the gambit room and sets up shop towards the left upper area in the gambit room. Leia moves towards the left gambit room middle door, and elects to move Chewie and Han 6 squares into the gambit room, to get close to Tsaract and Yogurt. Chewie moves in and blasts Tsvalong in the face 2 times for 60 ( after 2 crab armor saves ). Han wants some action, and moves into get an Los on Tsvalong and blasts him for 80 dmg ( again after 2 crab armor saves ), bringing the 200hp beast, down to a manageable 60 hp! End of the round, I get gambit, he does not. Rnd 3: I win init and go first. Chewie blasts the T-monster in the face 2 times, with his blaster somehow missing Tsavong's skull 1 time, then connecting on the 2nd, only for 20 dmg ( after crab armor save ), bringing him down to 40hp. Yo Gabba moves in ignoring Chewie, who's bowcaster malfunctions ( rolling a 1 ), and he goes in to base Han to put a 90 damage hurt on him after 3 attacks! ( Chewie protects his best friend, taking 30 of it, bringing Han down to 30 hp ). Tsavong breaks away from Chewie and moves back in ( to get his momentum ) taking 20 more DMG from the AOO ( down to 20hp ), and he smacks Chewie for 30 DMG after his 3 attacks ( 1 miss, 1 successful parry, and 1 successful hit- Chewie's down to 80 hp!) Han is not liking the smell of these nasty creatures, especially the one in his face, so he blasts Yogurt in the face 2 times for 80 dmg ( after 2 crab saves ), and he says ( later dude! ) and moves away from him taking 10 dmg ( bringing Han to 20 hp ), running out of the left door of the gambit room. Leia, says, "I can't do anything against these 2 ugly beasts", so she accurately blasts the lone ugnaught hanging out at the right middle door to gambit, and he dies. Leia tells Chewie to retreat with her CE, and so Yo Gabba Gabba and Tsaract swing their mighty Vong clubs at him, and Chewie takes 10 dmg after 1 successful parry, and Chewie runs out of the left door to the gambit room. Khalee, who was really late to the party, decided to join and run into the gambit room, to try and help out his brothers. Seeing that all his friends were safely outside the gambit room, R2 locks the middle left door to the gambit room. Tint gets gambit, I do not. Rnd 4: I win init. As I am a gentleman, I politely ask Tint to go first. Khalee runs to the left middle door of the inside of the gambit room and starts banging on it. I activate my mouse and uggie ( they spin ). Tint activates Tsavong and Yo'Gand and they hide in the upper left side of the gambit room, in cover. R2 opens the left middle door to the gambit room. Chewie runs to base Khalee, and blasts him for 70 dmg ( 1 successful crab armor save, 1 failure ) so Khalee dies. Leia spins and activates her CE, and moves Han into shooting position. Han then activates and blasts Yo'gand 2 times for 40 dmg ( 1 miss and 1 hit and a successful crab save ), bringing him down to 10 hp. I get gambit, he does not. Rnd 5: Tint wins init. Tsavong moves to smack Chewie with his Vong Club of Death, and hits for 90 dmg ( 3 unsuccessful parry saves-  ) and down went Chewie. Leia activated ( not moving ) and moved Han to base Yo'gand. Han blasted him for 50 dmg with his first shot ( killing him ) and with his 2nd shot, blasted Tsavong for 50 dmg, killing him, ending the game, with me getting 1 last round of gambit. Whew! Even though the game was 143-50, it could have been the complete opposite. If Han had missed both or even 1 of his last 2 shots, this would have completely changed the outcome of the game, quite possibly in Tint's favor. His Vong squad is really nasty with Greater Mobile, Momentum, and Quick Strike! I would not be surprised if he makes the playoffs and wins this tournament. All in all, a well played game by both of us, and we finished with plenty of time left on our timer ( 30 minutes left! ) A nice, quick, fun, and enjoyable SWM's game. Always a pleasure playing against you Tint!

Spryguy1981 (3) defeats Hi-Fives (0) 72-31 on Throne Room
I'm assuming this still goes down as a 3pt win due to 2 of his pieces betraying to Traya and I killed all of his attackers.
Round 1 was positioning and gaining FP.
Round 2 I blew the door and he moved up to shoot at me. I levitated Traya in who tripled and drained on Echo for dead. Rex puts 40 on Traya
Round 3 He wins init and elects to shoot with Rex. Hit, Defense, Miss, Hit, Betrayal. Rex joins me. I levitate Traya next to Ordo and get him down to 10 and heal 20 off of myself. Nihilus does a Sith Hatred. Ordo then twins on Traya and you guessed it another 1 so now I have him too.
Round 4 I win init and base the Sergeant with Nihilus dealing 10 with a Hatred then 20 on an AoO. He kills his betrayed Rex. Traya finishes off Sarge and he has no characters left.
The dice betrayed (literally) Jordan in this game. It would've been much closer had he not rolled 1s. Always a pleasure playing Jordan. Good luck the rest of the way.

Good luck the rest of the way. 2 wks ago on Vassal, I played a friend of mine, and he rolled 7 "1's", in 1 game! I had no characters with Betrayal on my team that day
