urban jedi defeated darthmaim 2-0 (197-83)
I won the map roll so he got to take the right.
Rd 1, I traded the lancer for his fodder and 10-20 damage on most of his guys.
Rd 2 he failed evade, fprr, shields, evade and one of his echani jedi died to the ig86 who had come around the bottom to get an interesting line.
Rd 3-5 was just me strafing him again and again and again. His shields on his echani were keeping him alive and it was very slow going as there were tons and tons of attack/save/rerolls, etc.
The timer ended with me up 197-83. He had farfalla (about half health) and arca ghost left, while I had a 10hp lancer and a 10 hp ig86 to go with sid, grievous and some fodder.
My rolls were off the charts almost the entire match while his rolls (especially the important ones) were awful.
The gizkas provided some early door opening shenanigans which allowed the huge rd 1 strafe.

Lightsaber wrote:Lightsabre defeats UrbanShmi 130-22 (3-1) on Theed Palace. This game report is mostly irrelevant as I suspect most of the tournament players were lurking in VASSAL watching us, but I'll write it anyway. UrbanShmi's squad seems like it was designed specifically against Hero of Endor squads, between the Interdict cancelling Versatility and Booster's CE granting free shots against anyone who dares to move out of turn.
Round 1: Everyone moves forward, I almost make the same mistake as Trevor did and forgot to Roar at Leia, but Chewie just barely caught up to her in the middle of the hallway. I get gambit due to Luke and the Nexus in the centre. The singular Porg asexually reproduces all by himself. 10-0
Round 2: The Rebels crowd into the Gambit room and the room above, while the pirate Wookies set up a firing line to the west. At the end of the round Teethree opens the door and a singular Wookiee tries to take some shots, but the odds were too high (3720 to 1, to be exact). More Porgs for me! 20-0
Round 3: Chewbacca declares he is Loose and smokes Teethree. The Wookiees attempt to shoot Luke in the centre, but miss against his 25 defence, triggering [3720 to 1] again !! This is the point that I would have lost the game due to my poor interpretation of the rules, but I was assured that the Cloaked lasted until the end of the round (!!) when I thought it was only a phase effect. Luke performs a pre-emptive strike against Sarro, leaving him on 30hp while Luke is pulled back to safety. The Breachman kicks the door down, dealing 10dmg to Sarro. Leia takes a shot at Sarro, who Evades with a FP. Sarro charges in and Brutally attacks Luke, who is saved by the bodyguard Chewbacca. Booster casually dispaches the team mascot (Kneesaa the Brave, may she be remembered forever), and the Wookiees pile in. Gambit for both of us, 36-12
Round 4: Shmi finally wins an Init. Leia takes a Suprise Attack which misses, and Sarro does his best to scrap R2-D2, who survives on 20. Luke gently pushes Sarro over and Artoo runs (wheels?) for his life. The Wookiee Scoundrels fire on their kinsman, who Evades until an attack misses and C-3P0 can /severely/ reprimand the scoundrels. Johun runs in only to be Parried, and gets promptly eviscerated by Han and Chewie, who Cleaves into an unfortunate Mouse Droid. Booster runs in with gun (singular) blazing, dealing a whopping no damage to anyone. Sidon Ithano pulls out an RPG and blows 20hp off C-3P0 and Leia while hitting Booster for 20. Other things happen as well. Round ends 108-22.
Round 5: Once again, I win the initiative and Cleave two Scoundrels with Chewie (who is NOT a jedi). Booster makes one more incredible miss against an adjacent enemy, and all the Rebels are cloaked once again. At this point the game turnied into more of a horror movie, with her pieces unable to see mine so all they could do was run, so we decided to end it there. Final score 130-22, possibly supposed to be 230-22 depending on the forfeit rules.
Another game falls victim to the infamous VASSAL dice. Thanks to [was it Randy?] who pointed out that C-3P0's cloaked lasts for the whole round (!!), which is an unfortunate match-up against a swarm of low-attack, many-attacks Wookiees. Still, without an immediate miss in Round 3, Shmi could have actually attacked which would be helpful for winning. Good game, and good luck for the rest of the tournament! I think that your match win is a 2 pt victory.

When you have a single Scoundrel attacking at about +10 against 25defence characters who get cloaked if you miss, there's not much point. I offered her a chance to throw a last Grenade at everyone, but that would only have killed 12-pt C-3P0 and leave her entire squad vulnerable to [Cleave]...

gandalf defeated Hi-Fives 203-65 on Theed Palace (3-0)
I won map roll and we both had the same map, so Jordan set up on the left in the street. I had Shaak Ti in the gambit room with the Nexus and Holocron.
Round 1, I won init and went first so as to get the last activation (since we both had 12). Jordan moved up with some difficulty as there always is when playing Large and Huge characters, keeping the Rancor out front. At the end of the round Shaak went 14 spending 2 Force and hit the Rancor for 80. 10-0
Round 2, Jordan won init and Boba got off the Rancor. The Rancor attacked Shaak; she made 3 Makashi saves but failed Clamp so was stuck there. She finished off the Rancor. Boba and Fennec executed Shaak for the unprovoked killing of their pet, and an Ugnaught smashed her Holocron. We both moved around some guys, and the R3 Droid locked the right door to gambit so Doombot couldn't fly through. I towed Yoda up to the top instead and took out one of the Gamorrean Gladiators. 76-56
Round 3, I won init and let Jordan go first (as I wanted to tow Yoda over his squad to kill Fennec). That could have been a big problem, as the other Gladiator tried to avenge his fallen comrade by cleaving through Doombot and Yoda, but he needed a 3 and rolled a 2. That allowed me to carry out my plan, with Yoda flying over and taking out Fennec. Boba tried to avenge her but got a crit reflected back in his face and otherwise rolled poorly. Jordan's fodder started whacking on Doombot and eventually took him out. Ima Gun-Di killed the remaining Gladiator. 138-65
Round 4, I won init. Yoda went after Boba, who successively failed two Parries, and then died to a crit on the Force Attuned LS Throw. The rest was just clean-up until I got to 200. One of the Beast Handlers did end up Jolting Yoda at the start of round 5 (failed 2 rerolls) but by that point it didn't matter.
Luck was certainly not on Boba's side this time, so we will be feeding his remains to the Sarlacc.

gandalf defeats urbanjedi 214-110 on Theed Palace (3-1)
I won map roll and picked Theed. Jason deferred so I chose the right, and ended up not summoning anyone with the Nexus.
Round 1, I won init and towed Yoda into an "unstrafable" nook with Doombot. Jason moved around a bunch of his grunts and all my other people hid like chickens in the back rooms. After outactivating, Jason sent in a Lancer and took out Doombot with a regular attack, hoping to win init and get to do more damage or fly away.
Round 2, I won a key init and Yoda made quick work of the Lancer. Shaak Ti came up to take Doombot's place, which required opening a door to some of the rest of my guys. The Holocron switched over to Yoda. At the end of this round the other Lancer came in and strafed a Loth-cat, Ugnaught and Ima Gun-Di.
Round 3, Jason won init and the Lancer finished off Ima Gun-Di and another Loth-cat, then hid in one of the back rooms in my starting zone. With a Loth-cat, the Holocron's movement and Force Attuned, Yoda had just enough movement to get back to the remaining Lancer and Assault to wipe it out. Shaak Ti opened the door to gambit, and the IG Droid sniped my Spaarti.
Round 4, I brought Yoda and Caleb up the board and back into the action, and Shaak Ti into gambit next to the Nexus. Grievous and Sidious both moved up. The IG-86 took some shots at Shaak and put 30 damage on her, then retreated and was surrounded by blockers just above gambit so I couldn't get to it. I did however get the first gambit of the game. (Up until this point most of the action was on my half of the map.)
Round 5, I won init and just gave a Nexus force to Shaak. Jason moved some mice, then Yoda went in and opened the door above gambit. I moved Caleb into gambit and Shaak Ti wiped out one of the Gizka roaming around the map (another one popped up). The IG came into gambit and got pawned to put some damage on Caleb.
Round 6, I won init and Caleb whiffed both attacks on the IG. The IG killed Caleb, and got pawned by Sidious to hit Yoda for 40, then retreated out of reach. Yoda jumped over some guys and hit Grievous four times for the kill.
Round 7, I won init. Yoda did 60 to Sid, who stepped on his holocron. Shaak missed an Ugnaught. The IG moved back around to another entrance.
Round 8, Shaak killed the IG and Yoda finished off Sid.
It's always slightly terrifying playing against Lancers, but losing both in the first couple of rounds before they did any damage to my main 2 attackers made it hard for Jason, who nevertheless played expertly to get his point after initial bad luck.

thereisnotry defeats Lightsaber 219-45 (3-0) on Anchorhead
We had the same map and I 'won' the map roll, so Thomas chose to set up on the right. I set up my people in the top-left corner. We both used Versatility to change our Leias and Hans. However, our SA choices were different: he chose to keep Accurate Shot for both of his people, while my Leia chose Cunning and Han chose Opportunist +20. Evil Luke set up in the middle with the Nexus.
Round 1: I won init and let him go first. There wasn't really a lot that happened here, other than my Chewie remembered to Roar (to wound my Leia) and evil Chewie forgot to. My R2 locked the door on my side of the gambit room. Evil Luke was positioned menacingly. 10-0 for Thomas.
Round 2: I won init and let him go first. Kneesaa advanced. My droids also advanced, opening the door on my side of gambit...and their devotion drew Leia toward them. Evil Leia advanced so that she'd be near evil Chewie and pulled evil Han and evil R2 into the main room. Evil Chewie roared this time, so evil Leia was wounded. My Han then stepped up to hit evil Chewie for 50dmg after evade. Sabine then kamikaze'd herself in to put 40dmg onto both evil Leia and evil Chewie with a big grenade. Evil Han deleted her. My Leia took a reckless shot vs evil Luke, but missed (cloaked for everyone, but I didn't care), and then pushed both Chewie and Luke forward. Chewie then moved up to kill evil Chewie and Cleave into evil Han. Evil Luke then gave up an aoo to Chewie (20dmg, failed block) and attacked my Luke. What ensued was a rather complicated Djem-So-Twin battle, which result in my Luke being alive with 20hp. My Luke then activated and deleted evil Han. Gambit and init. 135-45 for me.
Round 3: Thomas won init...evil R2 missed my Chewie by 1, and then my Chewie killed evil Leia and put heavy dmg onto evil R2. My Han then stepped up, hoping to kill both evil R2 and evil C-3P0 since they were the only two targets in sight. However, evil R2 made both of his evade saves. Porgs procreated and Kneesaa boldly charged forward. My Luke then dispatched evil R2 and Kneesaa. The rest of my people crowded into the gambit zone, surrounding 3P0 with menacing intent. 197-45 for me.
Round 4: I won init and Chewie killed evil C3P0. 219-45 for me.
Mirror-matches are always challenging. That Luke battle was awesome! The big Sabine kamikaze move ultimately proved to be the difference, because it enabled my Chewie to kill evil Chewie, which started a cascade of damage. Thanks for the game, Thomas!

DarthMaim defeats Spryguy1981 176-111 (2-1) on Desert Palace. I win the map roll, but because we had the same map, I actually lost . I bring in Farfalla's reinforcements, so welcome aboard, "Army of Light Consular", which is all I could bring in due to Solo's "Counter-terrorism". Spry chooses the right side and he sets up in the middle area, with Luke in the center in the gambit zone, just below the middle door, thanks to Lor San Tekka. Arca Jeth spirits Farfalla. Rnd 1: I win init, and Spry activates "Battle Ready" on his "Galactic Alliance" guys, which is most of his squad and they move towards the middle, through the narrow intricate curved 1 square hallways, with a few doors, allowing Spry to cover 2 ways for his team to go into gambit, while not allowing an opponent to flank him. He hunkered down there, while I moved all my guys towards the middle door, and Arca Spirit activates "Force Farsight", and he moved an Echani up 6, so that she could then activate and move in the 1 square that is in gambit in the most left upper portion of gambit, adjacent to a wall. We both get gambit. Rnds 2-4: We both were spinning guys and posturing and moving left and right, trying to see who would be the aggressor, and neither of us blinked. Score = 40-40, with both of us getting 4 rounds of gambit. Rnd 5: I win init. Finally some action! After spinning and moving most of our guys, when all of Spry's guys were activated, and with Luke and Jacen in the gambit area next to middle door, I sensed it was time to "blink". XT droid moves adjacent to the middle door, and it opens. Arca activates "Battlemind". And so it began. An Echani went in to attack Luke 2 times with her lightsaber ( hitting 1 time, missing on the 2nd, and Luke absorbed the FP re-roll. ) Another Echani moves in to attack Luke, and hits for 30 dmg on the first attack ( Luke failed his LD - down to 60hp ) and the 2nd attack she drops her lightsaber ( rolling a 1 ) . She spends a Force to re-roll and Luke says "no no no", and once again he absorbs. End of the round, gives us both gambit, 50-50. Rnd 6: I win init yet again. I choose to go first. Ben S surprise moves to just outside of the gambit area on the middle right side of the main middle door, where all the real action was taking place. Echani on the top right of Luke activates to swing on Luke. She whiffs, and FP re-roll and hits. Luke LD'ed it. Then she whiffed again. XT droid sacs itself to have the other Echani adjacent to Luke activate and swing on Luke. Another whiff ! She FP re-rolls, only for Luke to again, say "no no no", and he absorbs it. Her 2nd attack finally hits, and Luke gets a free LB, and he successfully blocks her attack. J Solo rages and he's super pissed at these Echani's, and his first attack hits, and after an unsuccessful shield and a Force Bubble ( from the AOL Consular ), she takes 20 dmg! Then on the 2nd attack, he smacks her, and after a successful shield save, takes 30 dmg and is down to 20hp. Jacen decides to break away, and the hurt comes. The Echani misses the 1st attack, FP re-rolls a hit for 30 dmg, then crits the 2nd, for 50 dmg, taking Solo down to 50hp! He then ends the Echani's day with his "Predictive Reflexes" and since he had been raging already this turn, she goes down! Lor San Tekka moves up to bodyguard Luke and Jacen. The 3rd Echani spends a Force to move faster, and based Lor San Tek, and with 2 mighty LS swings, ends his day. With Noble Sac, Jason gets to swing his LS in revenge with rage, and after an unsuccessful shields and a Force Bubble, she takes 20 dmg. Sarro Xaj wants to finally get into the action, so he spends a Force to move faster and goes in to swing on Mr Solo, and connects for 30dmg, then he P Reflexes back with Rage on a defenseless Echani , smacking her for 30 dmg ( after a shield save and a FB and a FA by Luke). Then back to our regularly scheduled program , Sarro Jar'Kai's and finishes off Solo. Ben S comes in to slash an Echani and he misses. Captain Shevu moves in with purpose to attack an Echani to oblivion with 2 blasts to the face of her and she dies a most horrible death! Farfalla spends a Force to move faster and comes in and hits Luke for 20 dmg, bringing him to 40hp (Luke had no FP's left ). Consular heals a wounded Echani who was adjacent to Luke. Luke then tries to valiantly CRIT the Echani to kill her, but fails in vain. Then, ironically, the mini that Spry helped design ( Johun ) spends a Force to move faster, moves in to try and take out Luke and hits 2 times ( Jar'Kai from Sarro ), hitting for 60 dmg, ending Luke's day on the battle field. Time ended, and we both got gambit. All in all, a super slow, non-action game for the first 3/4 of the match, but kicked into high gear, once we engaged, and when I got the party started, drawing first blood. The dice Gods ( Vassal Dice ), were cruel to Spry today, with me winning almost all the inits, and his saves failing him, and the unfortunate crit, when Jacen left combat. Always a pleasure playing against you Spry. Thanks for the game!

Hi-Fives defeats Urbanshmi on Theed 222-106 (3-1)
Round 1: Laura wins init, and sets up on the left. Mostly just moving up.
Round 2: Boba dismounts to avoid free shots from Laura's fancy commander. Fennec runs in and throws an awesome grenade on T3 and some chumps, and kills all 3 also closing the door. Some other minor shots, but nothing too crazy.
Round 3:Booster runs up and kills Fennec, and Boba and the beast eat him for breakfast, while putting 20 on Sarro. Sarro puts 80 onto the rancor and then lots of meneuvering.
Round 4: I win init again, and beat up Sarro. From here it comes to a wild goose chase to get to 200 points, and somehow one of my Veractyls stepped in the way of his own grenade to score the point for Laura
It was quite a close game, but losing T3 and being locked out for a round really harmed Laura's ability to shoot my guys for triple attacks. Good game, and good hunting!

thereisnotry defeats gandalfthegreatestwizard 236-115 (3-1) on Theed Palace
Joe won the map roll and I set up on the right. Han and Leia both swapped via Versatility (gaining Opportunist +20 and Accurate Shot, respectively). The Holocron gained LS Assault, and started in the middle with the Nexus and Shaak Ti.
Round 1: Just advancement. Chewie wounded Leia with his Roar. Luke got gambit. R2 towed Yoda to land beside Shaak Ti in the main room to the left of the gambit room.
Round 2: I won init and let Joe go first. Uggie spin. My droids advanced, which allowed Luke to advance because of R2's devotion. Doombot towed Shaak Ti up into the Headquarters room, and then she used 2 fp to run 13 squares and kill Leia! Luke ran forward to smack Yoda for 60dmg. Sabine tossed a grenade on Shaak Ti for 40dmg. The Holocron used Light Inspiration to move Shaak into cover and out of the Traps zone. Since she had stealth, this meant that I had to move closer to attack her with Han and Chewie, but no damage got through, other than forcing the Holocron to spend some fp for LS Defense. Yoda used LS Throw to Crit vs Luke, but I was fortunate to block it. Ima missed Luke.
Round 3: Luke used OWF in a bid to eliminate Ima, but Yoda used Force Defense, so that allowed Ima to roll a LS Defense save on the final attack...and he made it! Ima lived with 10hp. Luke then moved into the main gambit room. Shaak Ti moved in to LS Assault vs Han: the first attack hit for 40 (bodyguarded by Chewie, which turned on Disruptive), the JarKai was a 1, the fprr on it was a 1, and then the last one hit for 30 (also bodyguarded...Chewie at 70hp). Han shot Shaak Ti twice, and she LS Defensed it (with its final fp), then he hit the second (Shaak Ti at 50hp). Chewie then gave up an aoo (missed attack) and hit Shaak Ti twice to kill her with Momentum, then ended his move inside the gambit room. Doombot moved back toward his people. A Loth Cat pulled Ima forward (healed 20hp at the end of his move), and then Ima activated (healed again...50hp now) and moved in for a nice LS Sweep for 30s vs Artoo, Sabine, and Chewie: missed Artoo, hit for 30 vs Sabine, and missed Chewie. More Loth Cat heal shenanigans for Yoda (back up to 140hp), and he then charged in at Chewie for the kill, but Chewie parried both of them (with two 19s!), so only the LS Throw hit him (40hp).
Round 4: I won init, so Chewie (with Never Upset a Wookiee active) killed Ima, then cleaved onto Yoda for 20dmg. Ima's Noble Sacrifice went to Yoda, who hit Chewie for 20 (down to 20hp), and then Chewie missed Yoda with his last attack. Yoda activated (and healed...full hp again) and killed Han. With his second activation, Joe wisely moved his Uggie into a spot where it prevented Sabine from grenading Doombot and Caleb, and it also made it more difficult for Luke to reach Caleb. Nevertheless, Luke spent a fp to move faster and gave up some aoo's (ate a crit from the Spaarti) and then killed Caleb. My Artoo then took revenge upon that Spaarti...I've never seen such devotion in a droid before! Sabine killed that nasty Uggie. Doombot moved up to rejoin Yoda. 162-71 for me.
Round 5: I won init, and Sabine moved up to grenade both Yoda and Doombot...both took the damage. Yoda (100hp) then killed Chewie with a LS Throw, and moved up to attack Luke: he hit for a full 60dmg (failed block), but Luke made both of his Djem So saves and landed his attacks (Yoda made 1 block), which left Luke at 30 and Yoda at 40hp. Luke then activated and used OWF to attack Yoda, and he hit 2 attacks, so that was the end of Yoda and the game.
This was a really enjoyable game! It came right down to the end, with Luke's epic Djem-So Style saving the day. Thanks for the game, Joe!

Lightsaber defeats urbanjedi 159-35 (2-0) on Desert Palace
Round 1: urbanjedi wins map and I choose the side with all the tiny windy corridors to hide from Lancers. Chewbacca bursts Leia's eardrums. urbanjedi manages to run over my poor Porg, Kneesaa, and R2-D2, all of whom become roadkill. I get gambit, 10-25
Round 2: urbanjedi wins initiative and drives the Lancer Droid away (and I entirely forgot I could do the surprise attack thing with Chewbacca). The good guys all huddle together in Gambit with Chewie guarding them. The other Lancer attempts to penetrate the huddle but Chewbacca Bodyguards someone and Disrupts the Twin. I get gambit, 20-25
Round 3: urbanjedi wins initiative AGAIN. Leia shoots a hole in a wall of Ugnaughts for Luke to penetrate through and eliminate one Lancer. He then retreats, taking a missed AoO from another Ugnaught and triggering Cloaked ( :D ). The other Lancer drives over everyone again, putting 40 on Han and Chewie. I'm still hiding in Gambit, 64-25
Round 4: urbanjedi wins initiative. Luke runs back to rejoin the huddle. Han pops his head out long enough to snipe Sidious twice for 60 and Chewbacca scares off a mouse droid. Grievous manages to squeak into that one square of Gambit in the top left. 77-35
Round 5: I win my first initiative and use it to catapult Chewbacca into the final Lancer, taking it out as well as an innocent bystander Ugnaught. Han clears out an Ugnaught, then tries to kill a Gizka who revives. The IG-86 takes shots at Chewbacca, and Luke stabs the Gizka again, who revives again. Grievous misses a Blaster on Chewie. I get gambit again, 130-25
Round 6: Chewbacca takes heavy fire before retreating and being replaced by Luke. Han takes out the Gizka again, but another one pops out of the walls. 146-35
Round 7: Luke runs in but forgets to bring Leia, hitting four attacks on Grievous and leaving him on 20. Grievous runs like the coward he is. Luke starts taking far too much damage from the IG-86. Han tries to finish Sidious but misses the killing shot (hey, that's why we're the good guys, right?) leaving the final score 159-35 after the timer ran out.
Man, we were both just a couple points of damage away from getting an extra point each! Luke and Chewbacca were on 30hp each, and Sidious and Grievous were both one-shot as well. One more hit attack for each of us would have given a much more satisfying 3-1. It was an excellent game, although I felt a little scummy for camping in Gambit - but it all turned out OK in the end. Good game Jason!

you played it perfectly. I made one mistake letting you get to the second lancer (although with all your movement, I doubt I could stop it). You kept everyone protected with BG so once I lost the twin on the strafing attacks, it became much more difficult for me.

DarthMaim defeats Hi-Fives 57-48 (2-0) on Theed Palace. As I lost every map roll this tourney, I wasn't surprised when I lost it again. I brought in the Jedi AOL Consular and an AOL soldier, with Farfallas reinforcements. I chose the right side and set up above the room in the middle, and Fives set up some of his guys in the left middle and some of them slightly above the middle room, and a couple down below in the bottom left room. Arca spirited Farfalla. Rnd 1; Fives won init. Both of us started the long trek to gambit, he moving his guys towards and to the middle left room door, next to the main gambit room, and I moved my guys up as quick as I could to be as safe as I could in the outdoor area, as far as they could go towards the right lower door, leading into the gambit room. Boba mounted Rancor, and the Beast Handlers "Goaded" the Rancor all the way into gambit. No gambit for me. Rnd 2; Fives wins init again. We both start moving certain minis and spinning others. Then close to the end of all our acts, I decided that it's time to blow the bottom right door to the gambit room, with my lone AOL soldier with SC, as I didn't want to play any "reindeer" door games with his R3. The Rancor moved and based him and an Echani and grabbed the AOL soldier and swallowed him whole . Then Boba did his nasty stuff and shot 1 of my Echani's 4 times ( weapons exp ), and after a bunch of 4 failed shield saves and a FB, she was down to 10 hp. This turned out to be key that she survived, because, as the score dictates, Fives would have won this match with the kill. Fives gets gambit, and I do not. Rnd 3; I finally win init! Whew! The 10 hp Echani activates and smacks the Rancor for 60dmg ( her twin attacks connected ), then I sacc'ed my XT, and the other Echani smacked the Rancor for 60dmg, leaving it severely wounded with 20hp left. 2 beast handlers activated back to back to get the Rancor out of "Dodge" so that it could fight another day, and not take a chance of dying with Boba on board. Consular comes and heals the severely wounded Echani, and she goes to 30hp! The 3rd Echani spends a FP to move extra and bases a Beast Handler and of course, rolls a critical miss ( she dropped her LS but quickly picked it up, and sliced it/him/her, for 30dmg. Boba blasts her 4 times hitting all on 2, and missing on 2, but she evaded the 2 hits! Fennec moved up to do her weapons exp nastiness, and due to friendly fire, her grenade killed the Beast Handler, and 1 of the Echani's that was adjacent, missed the save, however, made her shields and FB'ed for 0 dmg, and the other adjacent Echani saved ( whew ), then Fennec threw them again ( WE ), and the 1st Echani missed her save, then made her shields, and so took only 20dmg ( whew ), then the 2nd one saved again- each of her saves were 17's! ( whew ). Gladiator came in to smack an Echani, and hit, but then she shield saved and FB'ed for only 10 dmg. Fives gets gambit, and I do not. Rnd 4; Fives wins init yet again! The Fett Master, dismounts, and runs in to base an Echani ( so no evade ) to attack with his twin blasters to an Echani's skull, a she takes only 10dmg (shields save and Boba's blaster critically fails on the 2nd blast ). An Echani activates and slashes a Gamorrean with twin for 60 dmg and he dies. The severely injured Echani ( 30hp left ), runs through Boba's kill zone to get out of Dodge, and takes 10 dmg from Boba ( after shields save - 20hp left ) and moves to safety! Another Echani moves past an uggie ( who rolls a 19, but no dmg with shields save and past Boba for 10dmg ( after yet another shields save ), so she could base the other Gamorrean, and she slices him in half with twins for 60dmg! The AOL Consular healed a near ded Echani, once again. The rest of the round was Boba taking taking dmg from Sarro ( Brutal Strike ) and Boba avoiding damage from a few of my guys ( thanks to parry ) and and my guys going to take out a few of his scrubs. Sadly, the Rancor never came back to play in the game, because he had been knocked down to 20 hp early in the match. Time ended at this point and then we both finished activating the rest of our guys, who couldn't make any additional kills. Fives got another round of gambit, and I did not. So, it was a game of saves, saves, saves, some additional saves, a little bit of healing, and then more saves . Echani's ( 3 of them ) had evade, shields, Force Bubble, and 2 of them got healed when they were close to dying. There were many grenades thrown by Fennec, with saves needed on those. There were some incredible 15+, D20 rolled grenade saves that saved my Echani's butt's as well! Boba was saving with parry's, which contributed to more saves as well! There was some strategic retreating on both sides ( Fives' Rancor, and my 2 wounded Echani's ). With only 1 satchel charge on my team, Fives smartly killed that soldier, basically controlling the battlefield, locking the northern door to the gambit room, so that I could only enter from the door that I had blown up. Then he blocked the door with his handlers, Gamorreans, uggies, R3, and Boba, so that I couldn't get gambit all game long. The Rancor was down to 20hp, Boba down to 30hp, and I my 3 Echani's were down to 30hp, 30hp, and 20hp, respectively. Again, for the 3rd time in a row in this tournament, I failed to use my Echani's "Rolling Cleave" special ability again against my 3rd opponent in a row . So in this game against Fives, I basically left a potential of 120 dmg ( 4- 30 dmg attacks from 2 Echani's, that each had killed a Gamorrean ) out in the wind. Anyways, close only counts in "horseshoes and hand grenades", and my ability to save on many nasty 15+ save hand grenades from Fennec, "saved" , my butt in this match today. Always a pleasure playing against you Fives. I love the theme of your squad, the name of your squad, and that you put Boba on top of the Rancor, as what happened in the "Book of Boba Fett: Season 1 Episode 7, the season finale! Thanks again for the game
