If Darth Sion is defeated by Boba Fett's disintegration, can he use Eternal Hatred to come back?
Disintegration: If this character rolls a natural 20 on an attack roll, the target character is defeated regardless of its Hit Points. The target is defeated even if it avoids damage with a special ability or Force power. If another character takes the damage from the attack (for example, using the Bodyguard special ability), the other character is defeated instead of the original target.
Eternal Hatred: (Force; 2 Force points) If a character with this Force power would be defeated, it makes a save of 6. On a success, the character is not defeated; instead, it remains in play and removes all damage from itself.
It sounds to me that Disintegrate immediately defeats a character and Eternal Hatred only procs once the target is defeated

He is good however I can agree (seeing first hand) that he isn't what he is totally meant up to be. He can be killed by failing a save when pushed into a pit. He can be disintegrated (automatic defeat, not health) too. He is a fun piece, but I don't think he is something that is a must for the avid tournament player.

I killed him twice in back to back turns but Boba BH due to Disintegration
So there are two comments from a long, long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away, which indicate that he can be disintegrated and not come back; the reasoning is that disintegrate is an automatic defeat. Eternal Hatred doesn't say anything about HP, it just says "when this character is defeated."

a few people in the Facebook group concur with my analysis, that Eternal Hatred does work against disintegration.

Correct. The same is true for Avoid Defeat and Essence of Life. Disintegration ignores abilities which avoid damage but does not negate abilities that prevent defeat.
