Hi, Not sure if I should post this in the trade section or not but thought I would put it here for now... I know there's not really any written rule on trading but was wondering what you guys did with Trading Huges and shipping. I think it is only fair if your trading some one and their sending a huge that you calculate the extra cost of shipping into the trade, however a couple of people have told me this extra cost of shipping isn't included and have refused to add more value to the trade even though I'm shipping several huges for 1 or 2 regular mini's. I'm not to bothered as they were mini's I was really after but was just wondering how you guys went about it?

The Shipping's cost always be apart of the cost of the minis, so I don't think wiil will be included in the value of the minis.

Agreed, no matter how much shipping costs I've never added in shipping charges into the value of a trade in any of my 45 different trades. How much it costs to ship has nothing to do with the value of the mini's, small or huge. The whole point of equal trades is for both parties to feel like it was a fair trade.

Thanks guys, just wanted some input as I've been on both ends and unsure what to do, when I was asked to trade more mini's to make up the cost of shipping huge's I did it anyways but when I sent some huges I didn't ask for anymore than our mini 4 mini trade. What about if your sending Huges.. lots of them to a different country I'm so full of question huh

I'll offer my thoughts: I don't think it is unreasonable to negotiate for some additional value in cases where shipping costs are significantly out of proportion. Personally, I wouldn't even bother over a few dollars, but if it was getting up there...maybe. I don't think this has ever came up for me, except possibly an international trade. You could look at it this way: A store that ships your order does not eat the shipping cost...you do. All aspects of a trade should be negotiated and agreed upon. If unbalanced shipping costs are an issue for one party, then work it out, or decline the offer. A fair trade is one that both parties are happy with. The value of the minis isn't everything.

One thing- if sending to the UK (or maybe just England) mark it as a gift or it will be taxed as a comercial transaction. Bad for whomever gets it. (+1 ouch to Lobotnik)

Yeah I'm from the uk and moved to the US, I learned the hard way before coming about tax, I ordered 70 pound worth of stuff from ebay once and didn't realize the seller was from the US and I got hammered with tax, I think I might have worded this wrong too I was mainly meaning if the shipping cost was going to be up there. Thanks again for everyones input I'm always happy when I trade but I think it's cause I love checking the mailboc
