It is just more mis-information being slung around. Much like you are doing on wizards under the screename of the the_Don. I have stated what I disagreed with and am done with the subject. What's that all about? Sling mud and throw accusations and then bow out when someone points out that you're wrong? You just got modded again on WotC. You need to lay off the personal attacks, man. I like how they handle things over there. Makes you feel safe. How did you get back on there, anyway? Weren't you banned? dnemiller wrote:You are a great guy and doing a great thing. Thanks! I made no personal attack on Wizards. I told Matthew aka Sashlon not to argue with a moron. The only way it be made a personal attack is if you are admitting you are the moron. You're avoiding the question. Weren't you banned? I guess maybe you are answering my last post. how could I post on wizards if I was still banned?????? That is kind of self explanatory. You may have the mods there in your pocket and that is good. Maybe some of us have someone higher up on the food chain in ours. You could have created an alt like OSUsomethingorother did. How did you get unbanned? I love your conviction, though. You've quit Bloo Milk before, and here you are. You've quit WotC before, and there you are. You've quit this thread most recently, but here you are.

adidamps2 wrote:Ok so far the confussion is no less. So I can get Official authorized cards for *FREE* w/o a donation? this is the email I recieved which has lead to my confussion: Quote:I volunteered to distribute the V-Set cards in XXXXXX when they come out on Dec 1. These are the official cards you will need to use if you decide to play in any official tournaments (Regionals, Gencon, etc.) They will be releasing a PDF for free on SWMGamers.com for anyone who wants to print their own cards, but self-printed cannot be used in official tournaments. I know that some of us have donated on the SWMGamers Kickstart website when they were looking for help raising money to print the official cards. I did about a month ago.
What I need from you guys is reply to this email letting me know if you would like a set of the official cards. If you have donated on Kickstart, let me know your screenname on there, because I will be getting the cards for those people as well. The official cards will be about $10 for a complete set of 60 cards (one copy of each). I won't need any money until the cards come in. One thing to keep in mind, they are only printing 500 sets. Once they are gone, they will not be printing any more. If you have any questions, let me know. But I need to compete this list as soon as possible tournament. these bolded area's are what really lead to my confussion... I just clear concise answers. Either official cards are free or I have to pay to play. which is it? Ok, to play at gencon or regionals, you need the cards that the design team are having professionally printed. If you are never gonna play at those then your local gaming group may be fine with you using your printer at home to print out the PDF file that is going to be available that has the cards on. All donations were made to cover the cost of printing. These costs have been met. Thus the only costs anyone may need to cover from now on is the cost of shipping, but all efforts seem to be being made to streamline this so that it costs people as little as possible.

This isn't as disagreeable as everything else I have seen bkchi say lately. We should be careful not to dismiss everyone who isn't 100% on board. I think a lot of the colorful names handled the criticisms of Jodo Kast and Atris very well. While calling gamers out for copyright infringement is absurd, I still think we should steer away from telling people to leave. If anything, it will just annoy those people who are making the accusations more. I don't see how bkchi saying this is copyright infringment affects anything anyways. It sure isn't making it copyright infringement.

THE CARDS ARE FREE!!!!!!!
You just need to pay the postage for them to get to you.
If you have a group getting cards then you may not even need to pay the postage. We are tyring to send them out in bundles so that one person can give them to all of their playgroup.
Again THE CARDS ARE FREE!!!!!!
Another announcement!!!
We dont need anymore donations!!!!!! You dont need to donate to get the cards!!!!!! The guy was just asking. You don't have to be mean about it. There are guidelines here somewhere that cover that.

You dont need to donate to get the cards!!!!!! well like I said, the bolded area saying the cards cost 10 dollars, indicated to me it is not the free cards I thought they where... BTW the complaints isn't that I have to pay for pretty cards, it was the idea of having to pay to play for something I was under the impresion was free, meaning I could print my own cards to use. However knowing this now is a relief and I will address the 10 dollar "cost" that was emailed to me by my group with them. thanks for the clear up. and this thread can be locked now for all I care.

And locked it shall now be.
There was some worthwhile discussion, albeit off track from the OP's question, which has now been answered to his satisfaction.
This one is done.
