Just a thought: If you had a chance to steal Tarpels' commander effect, you could throw 2 thud bugs per activation! Imagine a swarm of vong doing that...

Did that when I first learned the game. Didn't know that Double Attack only worked on ATTACKS. Needless to say I felt sorry for little Maul. I had to give up a win for unintentional cheating. But, the phrase was "THAT'S EVIL! JUST EVIL!"
However, it was the day I decided to get every single rule down packed.

Hehe, I lost a tourney game very early in my playing days against a Vong squad that just thud-bugged the snot out of my Vader JH. Of course, then a judge realized my opponent was playing with 200 points of Vong whereas I only started with 100 points of Imperials! I had no idea, as I didn't have much Vong yet, but getting surrounded by Lah and 8 pt Warriors, and then Thud Bugged every turn...yeah, wasn't fun, hahaha.

Yeah, I lost a rough game at Gencon against the Vong with my Sep Aura/Tyrannus squad. Game is rough when I can't use my main guys.

I remember the guy was playing with a 200 point vong army for several games before realizing that it was only a 100 point tourney...whoops.

Yeah, luckily, I think it was just 1 game he played that way, just happened to be against me. We only figured it out because at the end of the game, whoever was judging came over, and since I was running the typical Vader JH squad which was pretty good back then, he was surprised that I had lost. Then he started looking at the other guy's squad and was like "Um...that's too many points there." Hahaha.
In a legal scenario though....I lost a game at Regionals last year, playing "teh uber High-Lord GOWK, himself", because the Vong player had Super Stealth, I couldn't hit the broad side of a barn with Dash, and then I failed, no kidding, 21 out of 22 saves against Thud Bug or Spit Poison, lol. Starting with Round 3 of the game, I only ever got to activate 1 of my main pieces each round, and then the others would get Thud Bugged. :P
