Do greater special abilities count as the lesser? Options

Do special abilities containing additional words like "greater" or "rolling" count as the "normal" versions of themselves? Or are greater abilities considered unique?

They're different abilities. Abilities are considered equivalent if they have the same name but different numbers, though. So Opportunist and Opportunist +20 don't stack, for example.
