While he feels a bit underwhelming, he is certainly more useful than the significantly higher priced versions. He does seem to be lacking something. Levitation 1 or 2 perhaps? Synergy for Mara, Jaina or Jacen?

I agree 100% He is a boring Luke. I kind of wanted to do "responsible adult onlooker" Luke, someone who more watches and instructs but doesn't intervene until he needs to, and I came up with this....which I think is fine for the points but I agree he is missing something. I kind of wanted to add something to help out the "Young Jedi Knights" of Tenel Ka, Jaina, Jacen, Lowie, and Anakin but I wasn't sure what. I was thinking of adding an offensive or another supportive Force Power, Levitation might be nice there.

Praxeum Instructor might be reworked to target allied Force users under a certain cost, let's say 30 as an example. That is more of the type of "student" character he would benefit.

This may be too bold but what do you think about this? "At start of skirmish choose one follower with a Force rating and a printed cost of 40 or less. That character gains Lightsaber Defense for rest of skirmish and gains 1 Force point whenever it uses a Force power." It's a form of Force Renewal in that they gain a Force Point as long as they have a FP to spend on a power first.

@Saber1 I like the lower cost idea a lot especially so it would work on most of the young Jedi folks... As for the pseudo-renewal I like it! It is an interesting interpretation as the students are "learning" more about the Force as they use it (and hence gaining more Force Points.) I'll have to think about this. Maybe that part could be part of his CE. I could change Praxeum Instructor to only work on pieces under a certain point cost, and then give Pseudo Renewal to some Jedi...that might be too powerful I have to consider this. Thanks as always for the feedback!

Edited a few things, took out GMA and Force Spirit, gave him Levitation, Force Essence, and upped his starting FP. I'm still tinkering. Changed his name as well as his ability so I might still do something with Praxeum Instructor. I was thinking of having camaraderie giving it Kyle Katarn, I still really like the idea of having students gain Force Points as they use powers so I'm working on wording and will perhaps make that the Instructor ability. I like this more than my original version, thanks for the tip of targeting lower point Force Users Saber1! Comments and suggestions welcome!

This new version really helps a lot of pieces. Very nice.

Ok now with CE changed, is it too much with Praxeum Headmaster? what do you think?

Not with only FR1. He's a fresh take on force batteries and he can dish some pain, too. Might I add, this looks pretty darn good.

One minor suggestion. "Each New Republic Follower with a Force Rating and a printed cost of 30 points or less gains 1 Force Point after it uses a Force Power which requires it to spend at least 1 of its Force points."

No I don't, that is what I was thinking might have been too much, using Luke's points and stockpiling their own; adding the clause of spending their own works much better. Thanks as always for the help and feedback. I went from being meh about this version to really liking him. And for a few minutes I was thinking of just making him a straight battery, no attacks, but I'm glad I didn't.

You had some great stuff here and I'm glad I was able to help refine it to the current version. If this was produced by the Vset designers, and therefore "official" it would add a new dimension to the NR in general and Luke specifically. I'd enjoy fielding this piece to try the multitude of synergies it opens up.

The wording still seems too ambiguous but it's difficult to convey the intent without being verbose. 1. "Each New Republic follower with a Force rating and a printed cost of 30 or less, after spending at least 1 of its own Force points using a Force power, gains 1 Force point." 2. Whenever a New Republic follower with a Force rating and a printed cost of 30 or less uses 1 or more of its Force points that character gains 1 Force point." Just a couple of possibilities.

"Printed cost" is vital to avoid confusion. Praxeum Headmaster should be worded similar to this "Allies with a Force rating and a printed cost of 30 points or less can spend its own Force points once per turn and spend Force points from this character once per turn."

@Markedman247 and @saber1 thank you, that sounds much nicer than just "cost less"...it was sounding sloppy to me. and I think I like wording 2, Let me edit Headmaster and his CE to fit better. @saber1 I think this piece would do a lot to help out the lower point Jedi of the New Republic and make them interesting versatile threats. Anakin Solo does a lot to help, but this Luke could help there as well and open up a new squad type for the NR. We have beat stick Lukes for the NR, I'd love to see something more in line with this, lower costed, commander, focusing on helping force users.

instead of having a cost limit to it, you could just make it so that he boosts praxeum members... create a synergy for the whole praxeum squad

He was created before all the other Praxeum pieces and their current flavor/abilities. I've been thinking about redoing him, but I also really like the way he works as is. Especially since he helps out all low point Jedi, Luke would still help you even if you weren't officially a student. (Plus the Praxeum kids still trigger stuff off of him.

i suppose lol, but the only force users that really were around at the time had probably been to his school at some time or another XD

Right, so why should I make it more specific as to exclude pieces it could apply to and make sense you know what I mean? And that intended to help when creating the piece? Essentially what I would do to change it is give him a CE or Camaraderie that gives NR Jedi under 30 points "Praxeum" and then have stuff affect Praxeum members, but that seems like just one extra step we don't need here. Like I said he still affects the students as intended because of their cost
