Special Abilities

  • Unique
  • Melee Attack (Can attack only adjacent enemies)
  • Triple Attack (On his turn, this character can make 2 extra attacks instead of moving)
  • Greater Mobile Attack (Can move both before and after attacking. This character can make extra attacks even if he moves this turn, but he must make them all before resuming movement.)
  • Dark Armor (Whenever this character takes damage, he reduces the damage dealt by 10 with a save of 11. Attacks with lightsabers ignore this special ability.)
  • Master Tactician (You automatically choose who goes first except on a roll of 1)
  • Melee Duelist (+4 Defense when attacked by an adjacent enemy)
  • Cunning Attack +20 (+4 Attack and +20 Damage against an enemy who has not activated this round)

Force Powers

  • Force 3
  • Force Renewal 2 (This character gets 2 Force points each time he activates)
  • Master of the Force 2 (May spend Force points up to 2 times in a single turn)
  • Force Lightning 4 (Force 4, replaces attacks: range 6; 50 damage to target. Huge or smaller characters are considered activated this round; save 16)
  • Lightsaber Defense (Force 1: When hit by an attack, this character takes no damage with a save of 11)
  • Force Corruption 2 (Force 2, replaces attacks: range 6, non-Droids only; 20 damage, and target is corrupted. Each time the corrupted character activates, it must attempt a save of 11. On a failure, that character takes 20 damage. On a success, that character is no longer corrupted.)
  • Lightsaber Riposte (Force 1: When hit by a melee attack, this character can make an immediate attack against that attacker)

Commander Effect

Droids are subject to this effect. Allies within 6 squares gain Greater Mobile Attack.

I intended this to be an "upgrade" of the original Revan's stats.

I think that he is slightly undercosted, but a great figure overall.

You're right, I upped the cost to 91.

I think it is still undercosted in comparison to the other Revans, with more force, GMA and much better base stats. Great piece overall though, just an upgrade of some other characters is good sometimes!

I wonder what this piece would be like in a squad... Now, I just need to find a Darth Revan miniature.

^Yeah, they're pretty expensive. I've seen some good customs of him made from the Jensarai Defender. @pegolego, keep in mind that the original Revan is very overcosted. I upped him to 93, though, you're probably right.
pegolego

That's true, he was a bit overpriced, so 93 it a pretty good adjustment for it.

Update: Made Droids subject to his commander effect, and upped the cost accordingly to 95.

@all, his piece's title is from a line of Kreia's, where she suggests that Revan did not fall-rather he sacrificed himself so that others would not have to fall. An intruiging take, by a great character, on a great character, so it seemed like a good pick.

There is an ability called Melee duelist which does the same thing as your Greater Lightsaber Duelist. This piece is viscious just as Revan was.

^Thanks, forgot about that. (GLD actually isn't mine).

It is an interesting take... However, I would consider Kreia an unreliable narrator. I think that Revan really did come close to falling during the Mandalorian Wars, but not quite.

Hmmm...I actually take her at her word on things like that. She dosen't really have any reason to lie. Now, when she's talking about herself....

I stand corrected, Melee Duelist ISN'T exactly the same as Greater Lightsaber Duelist, BUT Melee Duelist is better and Revan probably deserves that so I think it was still right to change it :D

Agreed, Revan's a beast!

Is damage output too low?
pegolego
3/9/2013 5:49:27 PM

For a 94 point piece... Maybe. Maybe Rage, Rage 2 to fix it?
corranhorn
3/9/2013 7:58:27 PM

^ It works from a mechanical standpoint but I don't see Revan using rage. I don't know, maybe I'm being too picky. I think I'l give him CA+20 to fix the problem.

Ok, that's a good idea too :) I'm always big about character representation too; I just don't know much about Revan.

He's awesome. =) I'd tell you to check out his Wook article but it's a long read. To put it another way, Revan probably has more fanboys than any other SW character.

^I know, lol. A couple months ago, near the beginning of my set, I thought, 'I'm big on Sith, and Revan seems to be one of the biggest of them all. I'll read his Wookiepedia, and see what he's like, so I can make him maybe...'. I quickly gave up and was left mumbling 'The one siiitthhh... order... The one siitththh... order... With dazed expressions and then fainted. Yeah, it's pretty big.

He looks to have a similar feel to the BHC Luke and Sid. In keeping with that feel I'd price him at 100 points. With the extra 20 HP, MD and DA I might drop CA+20 down to standard CA

In my opinion, Revan was the epitomy of Force Users. He was one of the most brilliant tacticians in all of Star Wars history. His mastery of the Force was completely unrivaled, even after his memory was wiped. On the Star Forge, he was able to out-duel nearly a hundred Sith who came upon him in waves upon waves;

battle through literally hundreds of droids; survive the Forge's automated defenses, which were supposedly nearly unstoppable; defeat the turned Bastila; and out-duel Malak, who at the time was feeding off of the life force of numerous captured Jedi -- and all of this happened in one battle. (My comment was too long.)
corranhorn

^ Yep. That about sums it up. He's basically unstoppable.

Brought Defense up to 24. Too high? Felt like he didn't have the defensive capabilities of many 105 point pieces. No SSM, Evade, Parry, etc.

I just played this guy against a squad of my Bastila and three Jedi Strike Team Members. He was seven points extra, but, even so, he completely dominated the battle.
corranhorn
3/25/2013 10:52:51 PM

I can imagine! Those strike team members don't have too many tricks up their sleeve compared to Revan. I think if you're running low cost guys against a big, high cost beat they either need a good CE or a points advantage.
corranhorn

This is really more of a fun high end BHC type guy than anything else, so he might be a tad overpowered and have a stacked card.
