Special Abilities

The Sniper Destroyer Droid, more commonly known as the sniper droid, was a sniper variation of the droideka used by the Confederacy of Independent Systems during the Clone Wars.

Believe it or not, these things existed! They didn't have shields though. Kind of hard to cost, it has lots of drawbacks, but 80 damage potential if a critical hit (on 19 or 20) is scored. I gave it Speed 2 and Wheel Form for obvious reasons, SSB because of it's slow rate of fire (it is sniper rifle after all). It had a highly advanced targeting computer, so I gave it programmed. It's sniper blasts were very penetrating, hence penetration 20, and careful attack to further represent their VERY deadly accuracy.

Thanks GG! Yeah, I figured they were in the show when I saw 'Sniper Droids' in the lego star wars commercial yesterday, so I figured more people knew about them now, and thus had to take out the sarcasticish "yes these are real" flavor text. BTW GG, did you see my 40th piece polls?

Replaced Penetration 20 with Penetration 10, as I remembered that there is only ONE piece in the game with DR20: The AT-ST.

Neat! this is a droid I'm looking for; its still nasty and would do well in a Destroyer Droid themed squad. It would complement the Heavy Destroyer Droid, the Grapple Destroyer Droid (of Jedi Power Battles fame), advanced destroyer droid, v2 destroyer droid... Its a lot of fun, solid 9.9/10 from me on this one

i like it, but i think that just accurate would make a little more sense than Programmed target, as they wernt programmed to kill 1 thing. also caredul shot would make alot of sense too. If its damage was lower i would say give ti assassin or even deadeye but with it being 40 i would say leave that as is.

Thanks for the tips! I think I'll lower the attack and give Careful, as it's already high for a Droid (easily can become 18 for 40 damage!). I think Accurate would be more useful, but I don't think this is going to last long enough (fine for it's point cost) to need it for that many people, so it helps balance it. Yeah, that 40 Damage is killer. Only piece I ever put it on ;)

Updated, and I just dropped the attack (dramatically). I decided not to add careful shot, for the same reason I lowered the attack so much; the Droids have SO MANY attack boosts, and he already has careful attack. He may still be broken... Also lowered the defense a bit, and added HVB, which I think does a lot to balance it.

UPDATE!: Removed [Careful Attack 19] and dropped his cost (probably looks WAY undercost, but look at the [T1 Series Bulk Loader Droid]. And that (unlike this) can get up to 4 attacks!
