Special Abilities

  • Unique, Melee Attack, Twin Attack
  • Makashi Style Mastery (When hit by a melee attack, this character takes no damage with a save of 11. Shii-Cho, Soresu, Ataru, and Niman Style cannot be used against this character.)
  • Turn to the Dark Side (Replaces attacks: range 6; 20 damage to 1 target with a Force rating. The target can choose to negate this damage and instead make a save of 11; if the save fails, the target joins this character's squad until the end of the skirmish.)
  • Dun Möch Style (Whenever this character prevents damage from an adjacent character with a force rating, that character gets -2 attack against this character for the rest of the skirmish (this bonus is cumulative.) and you may use Turn to the Dark Side against them immediately. If the target chooses to make the save and it is successful, the target enemy gets +4 attack, +10 damage and gains Overwhelming Power against this character for the rest of the Skirmish.)
  • Engaged (Whenever an enemy character attempts to moves out of an adjacent space, they must make a save of 11, if failed they may not move away and you may make an attack of opportunity. Special Abilities and Force Powers that ignore characters during movement also ignore this Special Ability)
  • Affinity (A character whose name contains Asajj Ventress may be in your squad regardless of faction)

Not satisfied with the name, I'm also considering Sith Recruiter, Master Duelist, and Manipulator. Any questions? Suggestions?

The Master Yoda CE is a good fit for the Sith faction. I love the idea of a Sith Dooku and he feels like one. All his classic dark side abilities andyet still a good duelist without being overpowered. 10

The DMS/TttDS interaction is very interesting and thematically accurate. However, in its current form, I don't know that I would run the risk which makes him overpriced for what I would use. However, it might be my play style and others might find the combination quite appealing. Good use of Yoda's CE. Why is BL3 only during an enemy's turn? I really dig Engaged.

Thanks for the input! I was just considering removing Engaged, but now I will keep it on. I wanted Burst of Lightning 3 to be used as an interrupt, since many times thats what I see Tyranus using it as (Anakin charging in, stopping Savage opress from hitting his blind side while fighting Ventress, ect) What wording would you suggest so he can use it both during an enemy characters turn and on his own?

Dun Möch Style works as a defensive/Counter ability. I wouldn't use TttDS to replace his attacks, but only when you prevent an enemy characters attacks. The second part show how DMS can backfire, but its still really risky for the enemy. I figured with such a good CE (especially for the sith) he should have a pretty hefty price tag.

"Usable only during this character's turn or if just targeted by an enemy," That might be what you are going for.

Lowered cost by 9 and added Affinity for Asajj Ventress. Should I remove Force Choke?

Great CE. I might swap Force Choke for an established Force Grip. And what is going on with Force Leap?

I was already thinking of dropping Force Choke for the sake of card space. Leap makes Dooku more mobile, I wanted to represent Makashi style's fancy footwork (posturing for position or in other words repositioning onesself to put himself at an advantage) Instead of making an entirely new FP or SA I used Leap (Plus Dooku does actually use it, check epIII)

Leap is a fine idea, I was simply being a smartwhatever. It looks odd up on the top line and undefined.

It does doesn't it? But I'm pretty sure we all know what it does by now. ;)
