I gave him a lower cost than I otherwise would have due to Independent. FtM represents his practice of doing just that, as opposed to trying to anticipate future events. FST represents him teaching Yoda and Obi-Wan how to become Force ghosts.

Way undercost I think. Should be in the 40's EASILY, despite Independent. That said, I absolutely love what you did with him. One of the best Qui-Gon's I've seen by far.

Re: Cost, I'm not so sure about the 40s but I'll up a great bit.

Well, where I get that number is, taking the Spirit's cost out of it he's a 15 point Greater Mobile Attack jedi with a potential 4 attacks and 100 HP, who gives Force Spirit 4 to someone, has LSDefense and a cheaper [Use the Force] plus Master of the Force 2. And you are welcome!

whoopsie...thought the spirit was 12 points...:O

FST is great and long overdue for this character. FtM is a cheaper Use the Force and I'm just not sure about this one. Force Essence is appropriate. Independant is a fitting limitation (from a certain point of view) preventing swapping and such. I like this piece. It certainly feels Qui-Gonish.

FtM,...I've long felt that UtF is a bit underpowered, at least when there aren't at least 1 or 2 SAs to back it up. FtM has an (I feel apprpropriate, given its nature) limitation, and since Qui-Gon possesses neither Vaapad not Flurry nor Vicious etc I don't think it's overpowered, at least not here. What do you think?

And thanks on the rest! =)

Upped cost of FtM to 2FP and dropped cost slightly accordingly.

Non-Living enemies are immune to crits so the limitation only prevents an auto hit to droids and such.

Thinking about it, if I understand Ataru style correctly, GMA MAY not quite fit, but I still LOVE this piece. I thought about trying to make a way for him to transform into a spirit before (I had with some others like Yoda), but there was no Qui-Gon Force Spirit then xD. You did it PERFECTLY.

I'd take out GMA and bump his point cost slightly. Compare him to Darth Talon, who is very similar, and extremely competitive. Right now, he's far too cheap at 25 points.

I'm inclined not to give full weight to the 16 points of the ghost Force Essence can bring in. 16 points is what the ghost is worth at the beginning of the skirmish when he has the most potential impact on the skirmish. Is he worth 16 when brought in too late to make an impact or after all allies with a Force rating have been offed? At most, I'd give it a 1/2 weight. That drops this piece's 41 points down to 33 if FE was removed. Then I look at the piece and ask whether he is worth 33 (sans FEssence).

Every bit a 50pt piece imo. Considering his spirit is a auto-win initiative piece.

@saber1's earlier post I'd forgotten that. *blush* That's why I bumped the cost of FtM once I remembered.

Gotta agree with Saber on cost. I'll bump up cost though.

Good text! Force Spirit Technique and Force Essence are great. And LD is good since you limited his force points. I will be the first to rate him with 9/10

Thanks dude! I've always thought FT and MotF2 would suit Quiggy. :)

He really feels like Qui-Gon. However, I think that his stats and abilities are worth more than 30 points (his cost minus Force Spirit's cost).

You might be right. The whole force spirit bit has thrown me off with costing. Lowering stats and upping cost.

I think that you've hit it right on the head, now. 34 points seems just perfect for his cost, and I've gotten the calculations to be equal about the same. He's definitely someone I'd use in a game, now; a decent beatstick, but even better if combined with another high-cost character.
