This is a solid representation of Kyle. He has a KKJBM feel to him, but differs in key ways. His significant drop in HP is countered by LSD, FR1 and MotF2. Heal is a new ingredient about which I am ambivilent. Its great to see DSS and a serviceable direct damage option in FL2. FR1 helps here as well. Disruptive keeps a common thread and while MD give a hint of KKCI. Twin Blaster 10 is the real standout here. I like the idea of a blaster ability so kudos on going that direction. I'm torn between B20 and TB10, though I don't believe either is a wrong selection.

Finally I arrive at Shields 1. I may have been wrong proclaiming TB10 as the standout component to this custom. This dramatically assists his longevity and further offsets the drop in HP. From a durability standpoint, this version is far more durable than all previous official Kyle Katarns. This piece is a real tank, especially when paired with Leia Skywalker JK's loaded dice. Keep them away from the casinos! All in all, this is a great piece that gives proper nods to earlier versions while not making them obsolete yet maintaining this version's appealing playability.

Really, my only concern is FH30 on top of his already high durability.

Thanks! :D He could heal himself in the game, and it is something we haven't seen on a Kyle yet so I just wanted to do something a little different, but it probably could be cut since he is a tank (Shields, LSD, MotF and FR1 are already a lot of Defensive powers.) I specifically picked Twin Blaster because his "favorite weapon" was a pistol and not a rifle, so I wanted to keep the 10 damage and just quick shots to represent that kind of small holdout blaster feel.

Given his staying power, with the removal of FH30, I'm not sure his cost or HP shoud be adjusted. This requires more consideration.

But you pretty much hit the nail on the head with exactly I wanted to do with this piece. I wanted aspects of other Kyles but not to obsolete any of them, while making a tank-like piece since Kyle was a very durable powerful Jedi. (and yeah I edited my post after a few more of your comments, but before that one, I don't think he needs to be adjusted but I think I will take off heal.)

Perhaps Recovery 20 might be an agreeable change as it is limited by "replaces turn" and can only be used on self?

Agreed, I don't know if that is a combo we have seen before (at least in WotC+Vsets,) and it just makes sense together! Yeah while getting pricey, I did keep her in mind while making him I didn't want his attack to get too high.

Now he can really tank with shields, LD, DSS, and just use Recovery 20 on his turn and see how long he lasts! 10/10 from me!

The downside to Shields on this piece is his access to VCA6 via Veregere. That would be crazy damage prevention. Toss in GenWedge and GOWK looks like a fragile chump. Granted, thats a lot of points.

I could add a special ability "I Work Alone" (or something) This character may not be selected at the start of the skirmish to benefit from SAs, CEs, FPs etc. I'd have to work on the wording but I could. Or "Universal Shields" This character may only use Universal Shields, he can not gain another damage reduction ability. Something like that. The above scenario is a crazy amount of points and I don't know how well it would actually work but if you think it is a scary enough prospect I'll change somethings.

Kyle 60 + Vergere 30 + Jacen JK 33 = 123 points. That is a lot of points, but also a lot of very difficult to score points for the opponent. 77 points left for shooter, tech and filler. Toss in Leia for save rerolls and that leaves 52 points.
