Force Powers

  • Force 2. Force Renewal 2; Master of the Force 2.
  • Drain Life 3 (Force 3, usable only on this character's turn: range 6; 20 damage to target living enemy and to each living enemy adjacent to target, save 11. Remove damage from this character equal to the damage dealt.)
  • Force Lightning 3 (Force 3, replaces turn: range 6; 40 damage to target and 2 characters adjacent to that target. Huge or smaller characters are considered activated this round; save 11.)
  • Lightsaber Block (Force 1: When hit by a melee attack, this character takes no damage with a save of 11)
  • Lightsaber Throw 2 (Force 2, replaces attacks: Choose 1 target enemy within range 6. Make 2 attacks against that target.)

It was not Revan's profound Force power but his love for Bastila Shan that bolstered his resistance to the pull of the dark side. In turn, it was his love for her that pulled Bastila back to the light and led to the defeat of Darth Malak.

My vision for this piece is Revan at the defeat of Darth Malak with emphasis on his interaction with Bastila Shan. To that end, Camaraderie bolsters the original Bastila, the price is set to be a dynamic duo with that piece and Synergy further encourages her use. I was hesitant to give the OR access to Master Tactician so I opted for Tactician +8. As the captian of the Ebon Hawk, I felt Pilot was appropriate. Additionally, Pilot allowed for a couple of design tweaks.

First, he gains access to Speed 8 and Evade for an additional 18 points. I feel this helps keep his cost reasonable and provided for fun squad building synergies. For Force powers, I went with abilities that line up with KotOR. They ensure he'll chew through FPs quickly, forcing wise use. LST3 gives him both range and teeth combined with Twin, while DL3 provides a limited healing option. LSB coupled with MotF2 and Synergy gives him healthy defense but use of FPs is a balancing limitation.

I really like the love for the Original Bastila, that is a great touch that helps her out a lot.

Cost may be a point of contention so here are my thoughts. First, as mentioned above, I felt a price that allowed for DD use with the original Bastil Shan was both fun and conceptually accurate. Second, it doesn't seem as aggressive as at first glance. Without dropping 46 points on Bastila, Revan loses Synergy and Camaraderie. The loss of Synergy reduces his defense effectiveness. Bastila, even with the additions Camaraderie affords, is only questionably worth 46.

Since I never played KOTOR my only question would be did he actually have Drain Life? Everything else seems fine. Cost could be subjective. I you need Shan to make him worthwhile.

IIRC, he had a form of Force Lightning that drained his enemies and transferred their life to him.

Drain Life was available in KotOR, yeah. I'm loving that Camaraderie and I like the direction you went with him being a powerful Force piece. My question is this: did Revan ever actually fly anything, for Pilot? In KotOR Carth flew the Ebon Hawk and Revan mane the turret, although he might have flown it in some other material.

Perhaps my memory on the pilot thing is off but I think he did some flying. I know for sure he was a beast on the swoop circuit.

corranhorn is right Carth was the main guy that piloted the Ebon Hawk, but I think all of his swoop racing experience would be enough for pilot. (And I'm pretty sure Revan flew the Hawk in his book between KotoR's)

@Deathwielded That book isn't canon and should never be discussed. Ever.

I guess I'm fixated on the Drain Life thing. But I used Absorb Energy.

^What's the problem with Drain Life? It was a pretty commonly taken power in KotOR. @DW True, the swoop racing is probably enough. :P

If Darth Krayt can get Pilot, surely Revan can as well.

^In fairness, Krayt flew his own ship at times in his life. It's shown in Legacy flashbacks.

My point is that if Krayt was given Pilot when EVERY Han wasn't, I don't think it's a stretch to give it to Revan.

I agree, I think Revan deserves it for his swoop experience.
