Special Abilities

  • Unique
  • Melee Attack (Can attack only adjacent enemies)
  • Triple Attack (On his turn, this character can make 2 extra attacks instead of moving)
  • Force Immunity (Enemies cannot affect this character with Force powers, or spend Force points to reroll attacks against this character or to respond to this character's attacks and abilities)
  • Bloodthirsty (+10 Damage on melee attacks against enemies at half Hit Points or less)
  • Parry (When hit by a melee attack, this character takes no damage with a save of 11)
  • Callous (This character may target allies.)

Commander Effect

Once per turn, each Yuuzhan Vong ally within 6 squares may reroll 1 attack at +10 Damage. If the result of the rerolled attack is a miss, the attacking character is defeated. Whenever this character defeats a Yuuzhan Vong ally, either by attacking or through his CE all other Yuuzhan Vong allies get +1 Attack (This bonus stacks).

Not bad! Cool Shimrra, but with only 7 abilities you still got his flavor across well. I think he's a bit overcost for what he can do, but then, he will soak up a LOT of hits.

The abilities are all appropriate. Where you lose me is the 250 HP. Breaking with tradition isn't necessarily bad, but I feel you've wandered a bit too far. No other character, including epics, even comes close to 250. Even Darth Bane only has 200 and he is priced at 82. Combined with Parry, I just feel he is too over the top, even with a modest 19 defense and no ranged protection (save for bodyguards).

Well for starters I started with Tsavong Lah from universe (200HP for 63) as a basis, but since Tsavong isn't really competative, "upped the ante", and balanced it against range. Perhaps 250 is a bit much, but I don't think it's as overwhelming as it seems.

I got to agree with saber1 though I don't see any Crab armor so maybe lower his HP and give him some VCA to balance him out

250 HP w/ no VCA or defensive SAs seems like an unpredictable balancing act. I like it otherwise though.

The second part of the CE catches my attention. What stops me from bringing in 20 pts of cheap Scouts and slaughtering them just to boost my minions. That is my concern. One triple attack and his minions get a +3 additional.

Interesting concern, but consider that that approach means you just gave your opponent points, lost 3 activations and the return you get is that if/when the rest of your squad makes it into combat you can deal some damage more reliably. Though since you mentioned that I think I may need to add in the restriction of vong allies defeated - don't need him providing a boost for slaughtering teddy bears.
