Protectorate probably shouldn't replace his turn and he could use bodyguard to help protect the Skywalker of choice.

It's a very powerful ability which is why it does replace a turn. I did concider Bodygaurd, but it does not fit the pro-active Obi. Once they are automatically based by him they are nulified, it's ok if you missed that. Thanks for the feedback.

The main thing I'm not too keen on is Impulsive Assault, Main reason being all other impulsive abilities need an ally defeated. I would suggest something along the lines of "Protective Assault"

Thanks, that actually fits better! I was being slightly lazy by just useing Impulsive. I'll rename it Protective Assualt until I can think of something, or an alternate is suggested. There's a lot of protectiveyness going on.

"Once they are automatically based by him they are nulified, it's ok if you missed that" I am still missing it. Is it because it messes up targeting? or what?

Yes, and your criticism has pointed out something, thank you for that :D

I have borrowed AndyHattons O66S. An excellent ability, and I thought it fits this verison of Obi just as well as his.

I understand what you are trying to do with Protectorate (I think), but it literally cannot work in game terms. Instead of using "Replaces turn", how about just activating the character?

Personally, I would just give him Decoy (if an ally whose name contains "Skywalker" is targeted within 6 squares, this character may swap places and be targeted instead). It might not be what you intend, but might be an easier mechanic as it already exists in various forms.

Gosh darnit! People and their things!! lol You all speak valid points, I just liked the image of him bursting out hiding to protect. Mechanically I get it, what about...(if an ally whose name contains "Skywalker" is targeted within 6 squares, this character may immediately be placed adjacent to that attacking enemy; this movement doesn't provoke attacks of opportunity)?

It may mean I have to make him rebel with Rep affin.

I think it's odd that he can protect cade but not Anakin on STAP.oter than that great representation

Anakin on STAP is "Anakin Skywalker on STAP".

Oh. My card says Anakin on STAP was there errata or something?

I don't think that swap is really considered movement, so saying that it doesn't provoke Attacks of Opportunity is kind of pointless...

Left over from previous ability.

harryg: Hm. I don't know. I was basing that on what's in the Bloomilk database. That's a great question.

@harryg: You must have a misprinted card. I have all the WotC card images saved from the Holocron site; Anakin Skywalker on Stap is the name. @CerousMutor: Interesting piece. Do you mean for Protective Assault to trigger if an enemy Skywalker is wounded?
Lord_Ball

Personally I like it triggering for both allied and enemy Skywalkers - I view it as Obi-wan seeking to protect "the Force" when Anakin falls.

^ I do like that flavor actually. Open-ended wordings tend to catch my attention. It's turned into a habit after the last couple v-sets. ;)

I hadnt concidered the wounded enemy aspect, but I like it!
