just to make sure I understand Co-Pilot correctly - after he's activated he can still combine fire with an allied pilot that is adjacent to him?

Yep, I think you've got it. Once per round, he can combine fire even if he has previously activated. Essentially, it allows him to combine twice under certain conditions (adjacent to allied pilot). I've always wanted a mechanism that allows a character to combine fire with an ally for both their attacks (double or twin) and it works as a great form of synergy with Nien's buddy Lando.

How about: Co-Pilot (Once per round, if this character is activated, this character can combine fire with an adjacent Pilot ally. If this character combines fire against an enemy, that enemy has -4 to all saves until the end of the round.)? It is a little wordier, but I think that it clears up the wording and eliminates any possible rules issues. However, two questions: 1) Should the second half of Co-Pilot have a distance limit? And 2) Wouldn't the second half of Co-Pilot be better as a separate SA?

SignerJ: That wording is a bit more clear than my first attempt. It does seem like the back half could be its own SA. I'll kick it around and see if I can come up with something. Thanks!

Dropped second half of Co-Pilot as suggested. Added Improved Spotter which is the only existing combining fire ability that makes sense. Considering dropping IS in favor of new ability that encompasses the -4 to saves that was dropped from Co-Pilot.

The Co-Pilot SA looks good the Camaraderie isn't my cup of tea, but it might have a use...

Back when I used to face Luke's Snowspeeder frequently, Capt. Rex's P10 was extremely helpful. Its an ability that thematically fits Pilots and has been underutilized. Even if you never use it, the rest of his abilities look to be worth 17 points.
