I wanted a bigger, badder version that supported Darth Maul's high opinion of Koon's martial prowess. To that end, I opted for Melee Duelist and Shien Style Mastery to make him tough to take down. Jedi Reflexes and LSBlock further bolster his defenses. FPull2 and LSP2 provide additional damage output and movement options.

FL2 was the simplest representation of Electric Judgement and the two powers are so similar I thought it best not to reinvent the wheel, so to speak. Twin was selected over Triple to give JR and FP2 more teeth. I'm still debating whether to add Pilot back into the mix. I'm leery of SSM and Evade (via KlatCapt) producing another GOWK scenario.

@Prestige Worldwide: Thanks! @SignerJ: Riposte would be a great addition to the piece bu I agree that it would be a challenge to add while keeping the cost and balance both in check.

Everything fits nicely. I seems you had the same issue as me; he's such an interesting character that it's hard to keep him below 13-14 abilities (kinda like all those Sith Anakins; everyone in the contest I believe had 13-15 abilities). Everything you chose fit wellI like the mechanics you gave. Twin + Pull3 is nasty to say the least, LsP2 is added to it (twice potentially) is just MEAN (it is important to note that that is only on EPIC's or a couple pieces WITHOUT MotF to this point, so it MIGHT be an issue). Also, Lightning is nice, and Block/Shien mastery will keep him around awhile...

Especially with duelist and reflexes to add to his defensive/offensive hurt. Also, it is worth noting that Shien is also only on EPIC's so far. As far as usability for cost, this one overshadows WotC's Jedi Master offering in my opinion, but definitely doesn't replace it, as being a Commander, that one will have uses still. I do worry that, with the two epic level abilities and LOTS of defense, plus some great abilities that mesh well with his twin, Republic's great support considered he may be a bit much for the cost still. Everything fits, though, and it was a well thought out design.

@pegolego: That's a great, detailed review and its much appreciated. Here are my thoughts on your cogent points. We agree this character has much to offer custom builders such as ourselves, making it difficult to focus. LSP2, while currently reserved for epics, is inferior to Sith Rage 2. SR2 has been used on 3 Vset pieces thus far. SSM, very potent to be sure, is equally effective for ranged defense as Soresu Style Mastery but trades Melee defense for ranged damage.

Given a similar cost and lack of Mettle, I think it isn't much more dangerous than GOWK. Also, though he has great survivability, his damage output isn't near the top of his price range. With the expenditure of 5 FPs (not likely to happen more than twice), he can hit for 70 damage from range or 4 FPs for 80 adjacent. His damage output can go up but is dependant on the opponent's play. I'm glad you arrived at the same conclusion about not making the commander Koon obsolete as I don't like to do that to useful pieces.

My only worry is that he has 29 Defense against melee attackers when in the same squad a GOWK. That's a bit high, considering everything else he has.
