Why not Melee Duelist? Also, his 40 damage output is pretty weak for 61 points. Additionally, why does he convert adjacent attacks FROM enemies into melee attacks?

Well at first it was all about converting him into a melee shooter, which he is, but it in an alternate way than "blaster +10". Also converting adjacent attacks into melee for riposte & to give him greater defense as a basing beatstick. Melee duelist was an over site, as was triple; an i also was going down the route of unblockable boosters do Jedi followers.

The only thing may lack is hp.

Conceptually, a character converting a shooter's attack into melee just doesn't seem logical. I understand your desire to make him more dangerous via Riposte, but I encourage you to go a more logical route. Since you have already created an escalated version of Riposte, why not change the wording to, "When hit by an adjacent attack..."? I think it will serve the same purpose but be more logical. Then LA can just convert his attacks against adjacent enemies into melee. Does that sound reasonable or am I making too much of this?

No I don't think you are. I just modeled LA off of someone else's LA, can't remember who's though.

Upped his cost to 62. Good pairing with Wookie/grey/mara/jaina and Jaden to name a few 'Jedi's' to offer them a few more options. Main strength is his non melee leaping assault. Plus he can Move 6, spend 1FP move 6, spend 1 FP move 6 again to get great positioning for triple range attack.

Are you referring to Master Speed? If so, he can move 6 + 6 for MS + 2 with Force point for a total of 14 squares. If I recall correctly, Master Speed only works once due to the stacking rule. I could be wrong, though.

You are not wrong Saber1

I was under the impression stacking was only on same abilities, i.e. U can't combine two abilities that are +4 attack for example. Using a force power individually twice doesn't fall in to that. That was my understanding

Just got broad sided by that revelation. just to clarify then, you can't used Lightsaber Assault Twice on MotF 2?

No you can't but because you can't replace Attacks 2xs in one turn.

So the purpose of MotF is what?
AndyHatton

You can spend 2 Force Points to re roll things and you can still use certain Force Powers more than once per turn. (Defense, Riposte, you just can't use them on the same ATTACK.)

MotF2, while more limited then you thought, is extremely useful. In the state of the game today where everyone has multiple attacks, you can LSBlock two attacks per turn, Jedi Mind Trick twice per turn, reroll saves twice per turn, use Master Speed to get adjacent and then LSAssault, LSAssault and Sith Rage, etc. There are many, many interactions where MotF2 (or 3 on a few pieces) is a great asset.

And to build on what AH said, you can't use LSBlock twice on the same attack, but it might save your piece to spend a FP to reroll the failed save for LSBlock. W/o MotF2, you wouldn't be able to spend FPs twice in a turn to reroll your LSBlock save.

Well... I never knew that and never played that... and I've played, albeit sporadically, since 2006/07. Ha!!! I must have completely overlooked that when reading the rules... No wonder we run out of force points so quickly!! (Palm to face)

Makes for exciting games though! I may have to continue playing it 'the mystake'. Explains a few of my 'different view' customers at least lol

Like the character, I do have a nit-pick though. In flavor text "fourth right" should be "forthright".

Thought i could squeeze another point off, give the choice of Luke GH or Mara Jedi for 99/100

Any character with a lightsaber should have Lightsaber Attack. (Mara Jade)
