Special Abilities

  • Unique
  • Melee Attack (Can attack only adjacent enemies)
  • Dark Armor (Whenever this character takes damage, he reduces the damage dealt by 10 with a save of 11. Attacks with lightsabers ignore this special ability.)
  • Counterattack (Whenever this character is hit by a melee attack, make a save of 11. On a success, this character can make an immediate attack against that attacker.)
  • Battering Charge +20 (Replaces turn: This character can move up to double speed, then attack every legal target once at +20 Damage. Push back Huge or smaller characters to 2 squares from this character. This movement does not provoke attacks of opportunity.)
  • Double Attack (On his turn, this character can make 1 extra attack instead of moving)

Cool, but way under-costed with his HP and all abilities. Battering charhe is cool, and very powerfull!

Synergy, Twin, Battering Charge, Sith Rage 2 - he can hit all adjacent enemies at +18 for 120, and he won't go down easy with 23 defense 200 HP and Dark Armor. I'd definitely cut some stuff or up the cost 20 points or more (perhaps Charging Assault over Battering Charge, at least then it's only 1 enemy for 120).

Thanks for the feedback guys, dropped Synergy on him, as well as tool of sith rage entirely. Thoughts now?

Pretty powerful. HP needs to come down if you are giving DA. Counter attack is a sneaky way of give Djem so without giving him a "style".

Drop HP even with no defensive abilities against lightsabers?

Monster, indeed! BC+20/Twin/OF/Counterattack is a huge combo. Combined with 200 HP me thinks this be a bit too cheap.

Awesome piece. I love how he can charge 12 squares and hit everything with Battering for 50 TWICE (30 the second time, of course). EVEN BETTER, if you dance around and take some AOO's, he can counter and twin them back for 60 (OWF is just icing on the cake). You've created a monster, simply put (no pun intended lol). Very flavorful as well. I had considered Grip, as well as Dark Armor, both great choices on this piece. While I wouldn't think of him as a Commander generally, the CE is very nice.

I do have some concerns though; even in the Separatist faction, with a CE and no Renewal, this is, as I said, a monster, and that COULD be a bit of a problem balance wise. With my custom, as I had mentioned, Dark Armor was considered, but I forewent the DA in favor of higher HP, and to keep the cost more budget-friendly. This has both, and 200 HP is unprecedented on a piece of this cost (see the admittedly overcost Bane, though that is a follower, so this isn't necessarily that far off. This has more defense though; 60 damage on counter, DA). Plus the massive damage potential.

Sorry for so many comments! Anyway, this is definitely a piece that could very well be broken in appearance but not necessarily in reality. You must consider that he can be brought to the Sith/Mandos (could get MORE dangerous in higher point games), but in reality, his base faction has almost nothing to offer him. For 1/4 your squad in standard games, you get a tank that can put the hurt on the enemy; badly. I might consider raising the cost some and/or taking dark armor off or lowering the HP some. Besides, that, LOVE the simple approach and flavor of this piece; top notch.

Alright so to balance him out and keep his cost down I swapped twin for double. Still a potent hit, but more reasonable now.

I agree; that's a good choice IMO. Still has the MONSTER stats and damage output potential you wanted, without having every counter and batter doubled.
