  • Resolve (Each time this character activates, if it is Savage it may attempt a save of 11. On a success, this character is no longer Savage.)

Not sold on the name or wording of Focus on the Mission but I would like something like that effect. Originally had Lightsaber Flurry, cut it when I worried it would be too much (he was more expensive as well.)

I was toying on a Darth Vader of Mustifar with something similar to "Focus on Mission" called "Regain Composure."

@mm247, something like that would be really great on a Vader of Mustafar, I think it would be a cool new ability for a lot of Sith Characters who tend to go into rages. @corran Thanks buddy!

Love the name! Solid stats and great combination of existing abilities. FotM is cool, though pretty much negates the useful was of Hand of Sidious. Therefore, I might dump HoS. Perhaps change the name to Mission Focus or Resolve? Nice piece.

Thanks @saber1 Hand of Sidious is an ability that Is a hold over from when he Had LS Flurry so he could do that and Rage...here I decided to keep it at the last minute and am in no way attached to, so I am inclined to dump it. I like both of of those names more than mine...I'm most likely going to change it to something else and I like Resolve since it is broad enough that it can fit on a bunch of other people.

That's funny. I also began with LSFlurry on my Maul but in the end another ability proved awkward in its interaction and more thematically interesting so Flurry ended up on the proverbial cutting room floor.

Its weird it fits him and it doesn't (it also makes balancing him hard.) With the Dual Blades he is making quick strikes but it isn't quite a flurry of them if that makes sense. I always picture LS Flurry as how Obi-Wan and Anakin fight on Mustafar. And thanks! saw that text and thought, done and done this is pretty much perfect for Maul.

UPDATED: Took off Hand of Sidious, changed name of Focus on the Mission to Resolve (although it turns out I have another ability named Resolve which is +4 to Saves against Force Powers...so one of them is going to have to change.

I liked Resolve better here so I do think I'll keep that as this name, and I like Resilience there, my other thought was Valor on that one. I don't even know who I put that power on...probably a Luke Skywalker knowing me. :D

Pretty nice piece. Maybe tinker with the force powers since he gets a free out of savage. Act 1 he is cloaked and for the rest of the game he uses rage from his renewal. Maybe a hard limit to FP and make another piece give him renewal.

He is an assassin, I don't want him to rely on other pieces for help I want him to be able to work independently, I want him to be able to Rage when he needs to and have the Force Points to get out of it if he fails the save. He also has Parry for his FP to work with.

With resolve being a freebie of sorts it feels like indiscriminate Rage is pointless and you should just use Sith Rage instead (he doesn't really need that extra +2 especially with Assassin). That said making Resolve trigger if he doesn't move might be and interesting way of handling it - you could possibly even lower the save to 6 then (could make for and interesting game teaming him with exar - oh the choices for your opponent!)

I want you to have the option, you don't ever have to make the save if you don't want to. If you decide you want to build around a savage Maul, you can keep him crazy. Part of it is I wanted the attack boost to help him out against Droids. And the other part is, you still have to make the save, it isn't guaranteed that he won't stay savage for a round or two. Even then he will be savage for a part of the round most likely. With the timing of how you would play, he might miss out on CEs he is attemtping to benefit from (swap comes to mind.)

I like the option to keep him savage. The ability to return to his senses is a nice touch.
