My current rereading of Courtship of Princess Leia inspired me to finally put together a custom of everyone's favorite Hapan Prince.

I'm reading it now as well (half way through). Nice job!

Love the advanced shields and bravado! Gun of Command seems a bit to powerful though. Especially if any of those Hapan allies are really cheap. Also I can't remember exactly but wasn't there only one gun of command? The one really nice thing about this piece is he makes my droids better hahaha. I think it's time to have the Hapans make an appearance into the game. We already have the Dathomir, Black Sun, Zann, and Bounty Hunters getting fleshed out. More obscure fringe groups!!!

Thanks for the comments. GoC is an ability that demands a "tread lightly" approach when designing, something I hope to have executed well. The limiting factors are as follows: Target must be Living, target must be within 6 squares, target must be hit by attack, target must take damage from the attack, target must fail save 11. Droids are immune, as are targets 7 or more spaces away.

Anyone with Evade, Deflect, Soresu, Defense, Reflect etc has a good shot of preventing GoC from activating. Anyone with FPs or another save reroll mechanic can nerf it as well. Finally, it only lasts until the end of round so GoCing an activated enemy doesn't gain the shooter an activation or damage output.

Hapans, when they do finally appear in the game, likely won't have more that a couple of non uniques which can easily be priced with this type of mechanic in mind. Plus, it might prove to be a solid counter to Daala!

I haven't played either, but it doesn't look like GoC would be a whole lot worse then Enemy Conscription. They'll both have a huge price on their heads.

I think Gun of Command should probably be separate from his actual attacks (like replaces attacks)... When Han used it, it didn't hurt Leia, plus it'd be easier to regulate that way, I think. That's just my guess based on my observations, though, and Wookiepedia may have better info for it.

I had originally considered wording it as an ability that operated seperately from attacks but opted for the same simplicity that Snarerifle offers to Zuckuss. In this case, however, perhaps balance outweighs simplicity. What about: Gun of Command (Replaces attacks, range 6: Target living enemy joins your squad for the rest of the round, save 16; targets with a Force rating add +4 to the result)
