On CC, Luke's instinct to go in blaster first supports Vader's assertion of "you are not a Jedi yet". Therefore, I felt this should be a transitional piece, not unlike Dass Jennir. Twin and a lack of Melee reflect his blaster preference. Lightsaber and Bravado capture his (over)confidence and incomplete training. Riposte and Twin give him some ability to hang with Vader mano a mano. Similarly, Mind What You Have Learned gives him a squad-dependent semi-Mettle. He does survive the duel, after all... barely.

I really like Mind what you Have Learned however since it isn't mettle, you could haunt Luke and give him +8 reroll saves which in the Rebels would mean Evade. That is my only concern otherwise I like the thought of blaster first force powers are all good, and bravado is pretty much perfect on any pre ROTJ Luke...and then probably still on some ROTJ Lukes.

Yeah, you have a point with Evade. Darn you, Rieekan! If I remove Obi, then it requires a minimum of 20 points for Ghosty Yoda, more for Yodabah or the Master. Would that help enough?

My only suggestion would be to make the caveat that the bonus does not stack or does not work on rerolls but I don't think it really fits in the spirit (no pun intended) of the ability. Stupid Rieekan...

I'm not sure having a Luke that's tough to kill with troopers is a terrible thing. Looking at you, Daala. It certainly gives a strong reason to play him over LeviLuke and tilts the board a bit back towards Melee.

It could say+4 to lightsaber defense saves.

@FlyingArrow: That's a good idea, though I wanted him to get the benefit against things like Turn to the Dark Side, too.

Is it a good idea to have a 31-point piece who can deal 120 hard-to-stop damage to your opponent's beatstick in one round (your turn and the beatstick's turn)?

What attack boost is he likely to get? +13 is only going to hit a Vader half the time.

@SignerJ: Dass Jennir set precedent and I haven't heard of any backlash against that piece. Moreover, DJ maxes at 160 with SpecForce Tech/Czerka , 200 with Yularen & Czerka.

Evade problem solved. Please refer to new wording of MWYHL.

Oh yeah, there's that. I just need to figure out how to remove Luke from his name and ta-da!

Perhaps Son of Skywalker?

I don't think the super Evade stats are that huge a cause for concern. First you would need one of three three characters that gives him Evade (Han, Rieekan and Biggs/Klat Captain) then Yoda or Old Ben which would probably be a Force Spirit to give him Mettle too. (as they cost the least) but even then, just base him and ignore Evade. Twin and Riposte is just alittle to strong for Luke at this point in his life.

I opted for Twin/Riposte to give this Luke a shot, though remote, of tackling the big Vaders. With only 80 HP and limited Defense he will fall quickly. That said, I just realized that he won't trigger Djem So as a non-Melee attacker which makes Riposte/Twin too strong. I'm considering options to replace Riposte.

I dropped Riposte but he fells like he might be missing something.
