Special Abilities

  • Unique
  • Hologram (Ignores all terrain. Cannot open doors. Cannot attack or be damaged, and does not count as a legal target. Does not provide cover. This character is defeated if it activates when no Trooper ally is within 2 squares.)
  • Disable Communications (Before Initiative is determined you may choose to remove Relay Orders from all characters, or remove 1 Commander Effect from any character, for the rest of the skirmish or unitil this character is defeated, save 8.)
  • Intimidation (Living non-Unique enemies within 6 squares get -2 Attack and -2 Defense. Living allies within 6 squares get +2 Attack and +2 Defense.)

Commander Effect

Unique living Imperial allies with a Force Rating and a Lightsaber gain Lightsaber Precision. Trooper followers gain Merciless 10.

Even in a hologram transmission, Vader is very intimidating.

Increased cost a to 25, more balanced? I really like the idea, thoughts or input more than welcome:-)

Holograms tend to make interesting builds, this one is no exception! You can take the 20HP/Def off because he can't be damaged. Being able to take an enemy CE out of play is a VERY powerful suggestion, but on the other hand he takes your other Vaders out of play, and it's a save of 8. The CE is cool, you could reword the first part to 'Unique Imperial allies with a Force rating and a Lightsaber gain', so that enemy Imperials don't get it, and I don't know of any Droids that would be subject (I could be wrong). Overall, a fun piece! Not overly potent, but that's a good thing here, I think.

Intimidation fits Vader very well. Disable Communications is very tricky, knocking out a CE or Relay orders could be really helpful and if your really lucky you could totally remove all enemy CE's pretty easily.

The save of 8 is to remove RO or a CE. It stays removed until this character is defeated. Is that clear as mud lol
