Designed to have fun with Huges. Makes them a bit more competitive, and give them that "vehicle feel".

So, if Wedge is removed by Troop Cart via his own CE, and the Huge moves inside a Disruption area, what happens to Wedge?

I would say that Wedge and all other Troop Cart passengers across the board immediately eject into an adjacent square to their vehicles, like if they suddenly switched sides.

Better for Troop Cart CE to be an SA like Delta Sheild Support/Delta Fire Support that grant boardwide SA's to allies. That way it can't be Disrupted but still have to deal with lack of it if Wedge dies or betrays.
