Huge damage potential and HP for only 40 points. Especially with easy access to Twin. As worded, he does 70 damage on crits, 80 with DI keyed up. Me thinks cost should go up.

How does he have access to Twin? I don't believe in uping the cost of a character because he MAY have access to a CE. The cost of a powerful CE should be reflected in the character with the CE not the allies that could have access to it. I price characters AS IS or compared to similar characters in that faction. WOTC was never very consistent with the costs their character anyhoo. I did tweek somethings, BTW.

Whorm Loathsome grants Twin to Sep followers.

Looking at the entire package, I felt he was under cost. Cheapest melee beat with 140 HP is 46 points (Kyle Katarn). The cheapest melee beat with 140 HP and Evade is 53 points (Lumiya). Cheapest melee beat with 140 HP and Parry is 52 points (Felcor). That's not factoring in the double chance to crit, +30 dam on a crit or effective Melee Reach 2. Compared to Darth Maul, arguably the most similar in-faction piece, he is significantly cheaper. I'm not knocking the design, I just think the cost is too aggressive.

As far as synergy (CE or special ability), I think it must be considered when pricing a custom. The synergy provider's cost reflects what he/she grants to pieces in existence when it was designed. Subsequent pieces, such as our customs, must factor existing synergies into costing. If not, broken combos come into play. That is why similar pieces can and should be priced differently when considering their respective factions. It's also why a Fringe piece is usually more expensive than a similar in-faction piece.

Wow, I just typed a long reply, and it disappeared so lets try again.. haha.

So you are assuming Whorm will be in a squad so the price should be upped. What if the squad creator chooses not to use Whorm? Then the price was upped for nothing. When a new character is created with a powerful CE, old character's costs can't changed, so new character's costs should be increased to take that new CE into account? I know it's fun to say, "Hey, with this character.. if I add CE#1 + CE#2 + SA#1 then this character is broken!" To me its the CE or the combination that may be broken, but not the character.

And for the individual cost... I compare this character to some in a similar cost... like Assajj Ventress, SA and Mara Jade, Jedi and it doesn't seem so overcosted. And those characters have higher user ratings, which tells me the majority of the people must think they are priced better, therefore more useable.

I do appreciate the feedback, however. And it's always good to take a second look at things and make adjustments.

much better than the overpowered versions everyone makes of savage

Accepting that raising cost due to synergies is necessary is just something you have to do. Yes, it's annoying.

I got to go with saber1 and corranhorn on this one, we must also consider what boosts exist already when making new customs. I would meet half way and raise the cost but still make him playable without Whorm. Or you could just add savage ;) (but then you may still need to up the cost) Great representation!

Yeah, that was an old argument where I learned my lesson. :) I hardly play the game so I often forget the faction CEs and synergies, especially for V-set characters. He was A LOT cheaper before I updated him, but I put his price around the Quinlan DA and Sora Bulq range.
