Special Abilities

  • Melee Attack (Can attack only adjacent enemies)
  • Force-Attuned Armor (Whenever this character takes damage, he reduces the damage by 10 with a save of 11)
  • Dark Forge (At the start of the skirmish, after seeing your opponent's squad, you may choose 1 living ally. That ally gains Force-Attuned Armor for the rest of the skirmish.)
  • Force Bond (Allies with a Force rating and a lightsaber gain Lightsaber Precision.)

Hmmm... I do like this concept. However, handing out force attuned armor faction wide... i dunno. Sure, it would hedge against non-melee spammer, but... it just doesn't feel right - I'm keen to hear others thoughts on that. Upping the cost to the Mid 40s, or altering the CE... it'd make it feel fair, but then, it wouldn't be your custom anymore... zugzwang! Camaraderie notwithstanding, otherwise a 9/10 piece, great work

I suggest you make it say after set up choose a unique ally, that ally gains force attuned armour. than you can drop his hp his ce and make him cost like 12 or something

@jen'ari, would that be so as to limit it to only a single non-unique ally? @all, That said, it is awesome in concept - to help a melee-focused faction close the gap and survive against a lot of autodamage and blaster-y squads. It's a fun piece for sure; there's just something about having holosid sith with "i can't believe it's vondunn craby armor" which smacks of the Vong faction s'all [biggrin] and, having a 20pt piece make some other ~20 pt pieces better than a destroyer droid... that's a little much ehhehe. this is easily a 40ish point piece as is.

that is what I would do. limit it to one piece, but it would be a unique. maybe even a piece with no other armour

Updated to make Armor only for on ally and gave a generic boost to the rest of the Sith in potential damage

Awesome piece! Aggressively, but fairly, costed. This needs to happen in a v-set. VCA 6 with Vergere will be nasty, but not a huge problem, I think.

Thanks and I figure that to go the vergere route is 80ish points and will be half your team at that point but could also be good

Ok, that's a very very interesting idea. IMO it might be better if you add L deflect instead of OF cause it seems to me that it's a support piece not an attacker per se so it needs a way to expand it's survivability. Anyway looks great and it's CE is sweet!

Cost isn't a factor this week, but I would think he should cost more... Maybe not tho with his weak D. I love Dark Forge. I think thats a cool thing to make an armor for someone, and I think FAA is the perfect choice.

I am honestly not even paying attention to cost this week, I just thought I would mention it, but cost has no bearing on inspection this week

Soryy, I haven't been around at all this weekend. Grandkids T-Ball, etc --- but even if its a lil late, the base cost with just melee & Force 3 is 16, 2 FA's (19) 3 SA's & a CE .... at least a 27 ... but an interesting idea one way or another .......
