why not? if we are going to use holocrons (which I love) we might as well flesh out exactly what they would look like right? why leave a good idea unfinished?

holocrons should not have evade, it's a great game mechanic but I don't think it's a great representation. evade signifies action, right? Legacy (oh no) made a holocron that I think can be a good foundation (meaning take from it idea) as far as not having hp, or activating, etc. the outside characteristics of the piece. than add what you want it to do.

You could have simply said "I would recommend Emplacement or Speed 0," instead of bringing attitude from a previous beef into it. Same thing with the "Legacy (oh no)" comment. You can say things with the exact same benefit to the design of the piece without all the attitude that tends to instigate. What good did saying "(oh no)" do? Instead of that, you could say "Here is a link to a piece from Legacy that might lend some good ideas to a Holocron."

oh no was a joke. I think it's clear tbh. my post was very thought out. here is the thing. whenever someone says legacy it seems to bring out a wall of opposition, something I don't see as necessary. so bringing up the friction can relieve the friction. I have been complimentary of the piece calling it a good idea. I have not bashed or anything. this is literally how I normally talk, no attitude. I year things like I see them. I think that if you look at other posts not a bill post you will see the exact same thing.

Also, evade is just a game mechanic. The C3PO in chair had it. I have no desire to make up a new ability that does the same thing, just for the name.

If you gave it no HP rating, than you bypass the need for any ability at all. Here is a link to a piece rom Legacy that might lend some good ideas to how a Holocron can look. http://www.bloomilk.com/Custom/23042/darth-banes-holocron The parts I think you might like are This character cannot move, activate, open doors, attack, or be damaged, and does not count as a legal target. This character does not provide cover and characters can move through a space occupied by this character.

lol you could take away its hp value and go as far as to say that an enemy with a force rating can spend 1 or 2 fps to "convert" the holocron to their side

If you give it no HPs it becomes another hard to kill figure, I didn't want that.

I can see that, but Being able to keep the piece in the very back in a room corner already makes it hard to kill since all is abilities are board wide
