Special Abilities

  • Speed 8 (Can move up to 8 squares and attack, or 16 squares without attacking)
  • Melee Attack (Can attack only adjacent enemies)
  • Double Attack (On her turn, this character can make 1 extra attack instead of moving)
  • Bloodthirsty (+10 Damage on melee attacks against enemies at half Hit Points or less)
  • Charging Assault +10 (Replaces turn: Can move up to double speed, then make an attack at +10 Damage against an adjacent enemy)
  • Horde +2 (+2 Attack on melee attacks against a target for each allied character with Horde adjacent to that target. This character gets +1 Defense for every adjacent allied Undead character.)
  • Re-Animate (Whenever this character would be defeated by an attack, make a save of 6 if the attacker is nonadjacent or 11 if the attacker is adjacent. On a success, this character has 10 Hit Points instead of being defeated. I think Jak is making a joke, it's a lot of text for a 16 point piece is all. But you mentioned before that you are making a small special set and not specifically creating something to be created by the designers and used normally in the game. If it was a piece in the game you would need to simplify the wordy abilities like re-animate becoming escape death and army of the dead to savage. That being said I would drop either GMA or charging.

I can't give my Undead characters Savage for a reason; there are far too many characters in the game that can "control" savage characters by making them lose savage, and for the Undead, it wouldn't be thematically appropriate for what I intend for them. Malakili, for example, shouldn't be able to control a horde of undead. Dr. Evazan, due to his later role in the EU as a re-animator of dead corpses, should.

I think this would fit on a card (the extra text is the unabridged glossary, whereas the card would just have the bolded key words). it is also a nice piece, and after some informal playtesting of previous zombie combo squads, this fills the mid tier niche well. 9.35/10

I did end up dropping GMA, decided that their only forward method of attack should be Charging Assault. And I must stress that Grievous is correct, these are not really meant to be put on a card in the first place; these pieces are custom and made for custom games, so my players and I reference them on the website.
