Special Abilities

  • Unique
  • Melee Attack (Can attack only adjacent enemies)
  • Double Attack (On his turn, this character can make 1 extra attack instead of moving)
  • Assassin (+4 Attack and +10 Damage against living enemies)
  • Cloaked (If this character has cover, he cannot be targeted by nonadjacent enemies)
  • Heal 30 (Replaces attacks: touch; remove 30 damage from a living character)
  • Honorable (Cannot use Plasma Caster against a living enemy with Melee Attack unless they have a ranged special ability; this does not include Xenomorphs)
  • Hunter (After setup, choose 1 of the following: a specific faction, Unique enemies, Droid enemies, or enemies with a Force rating. This character gets +4 Attack and +10 Damage against the chosen type of targets for the rest of the skirmish.)
  • Infrared Vision (Non-Unique enemies with Cloaked within 6 squares lose Cloaked)
  • Loner (+4 Attack if no allies are within 6 squares)
  • Momentum (If this character has moved this turn, he gets +4 Attack and +10 Damage against adjacent enemies)
  • Net Gun 16 (Replaces attacks: range 6; target enemy and each character adjacent to that target are considered activated this round; save 16 negates. Huge and larger characters and characters with Mounted Weapon ignore this effect.)
  • Parry (When hit by a melee attack, this character takes no damage with a save of 11)
  • Plasma Caster (Replaces attacks: sight; +12 Attack for 30 Damage. If this attack hits, all characters adjacent to the target take 20 damage; save 11. If the attack misses, the target and all adjacent characters take 20 damage; save 11.)
  • Recon (Roll twice for initiative once per round, choosing either roll, if any character with Recon in the same squad has line of sight to an enemy)
  • Self-Destruct Sequence 80 (Replaces attacks: 80 damage to each character within 6 squares; non-adjacent characters can save 11 to avoid damage. Remove this character from play.)
  • Stable Footing (Not slowed by difficult terrain or low objects)
  • Trophy Collector (When a Unique enemy is defeated by this character, this character gets +1 Attack and +1 Defense. These bonuses are cumulative.)

Yup. This is the solid gold - and it even has Trophy Hunter. If this is what a regular predator is... Is a Pred-Alien on the horizon?

The Predalien was part of my A Galaxy Infested set, along with other Xenomorph characters.

So, what I am alluding to is; are they on par, or proportionate when juxtaposed? I feel the Pred-alien to not be as nasty as the movie variant... but more rigorous playtesting would test that. Thanks for sharing all of these in any event (and apologies for a glut of free time and hence, a tsunami of comments)

It isn't, no--this was intentional, as the film version was later retconned into being a juvenile queen. This somewhat explains the strange ability it displayed in planting embryos in humans. A queen predalien could just as easily be represented by my Xenomorph Queen unit.
