Does Warriors Pride make his attack 6 , and 30 Damage? I like Invasion... But is there a "time" for it to trigger? I'm not sure there is a game ability that triggers after Map roll? I like the idea of it, that he is better on another map, and its thematic. Double/Cunning/Ambush is a fun combo for Mandos. Nice looking piece pending answers on the first 2 questions!

yea Warriors Pride will give a 6 attack for 30 damage without any buffs, and for the map roll i kinda figured it would work like after initiative effects except its after the map was decided. I could re word it to " If your opponent won map roll at the start of the skirmish this character gains +2 defense and the Hunter Special Ability"

Warrior's Pride is a death shot? I love Cunning, ambush, stealth, and invasion. I just don't know how I feel about the Death Shot, especially with Twin being an easy pick up. However the -3 attack makes it very user-friendly as well. So overall very well done.

ummm... I dont know I think it is ok. I just never liked death shots a lot. but thinking... I am more worried about it when paired with Jaster Mareel. it would be 2 twin shots at +20 damage. so 4 twin shots when he dies, so you might want to see how that plays out.

Invasion is quite a different ability, kind of interesting how you have it work, but I am not a fan of it granting Hunter.

... can't remember what you cut out, but hey was just sayin. :) Regarding the piece, Pride is interesting (and still hits at +6) but I'm not so sure about Invasion; losing maps in our group means you get the consolation of picking which side you want. Between the two, I'd rather pick the side I want so it seems you're getting a 2 fer the price of 1 in this guy (Pick side AND get +2 D & a Hunter ability??

I agree with LB about Hunter. That is an Epic-level ability, very strong and should push cost up a LOT. Also agree with Surf about the '2 fer'. Maybe Invasion could let you set this guy up farther into the map than 4 squares, or something else that seems more 'invasion-ish'.

Hunter might be a +4 +10 bonus, and thinking about it the attack rating might need to come down a tad, but he tops out at Cunning 10, base 10, hunter 10 damage. than twin can make it 60 damage. Probably needs to add no twin on the WP and it should be good to go. Hunter, if ever used, fits Mando's pretty well if used tentatively and wisely

man this is tough to get it just right. the best way i can see it happening is that Invasion grants hunter but also grants Single Shot blaster. but that does not seem thematic at all

I've always found pathfinder disappointing, but (assuming v-sets) considering you already have access to Battle Ready and Resol'nare, could be helpful traversing stairs and such. It's a light-duty boost since you already get to choose map side, so better than granting a n/u a customized Hunter ability, since you can run multiples. That would be a per-unit choice for Hunter.

Pathfinder Can be useful/situational. Base stats 13, Cunning & Double 3 each (19) Ambush 4 (23) Stealth 2 - up to 25. Even at 1-2 points each, Invasion & Warrior's P makes it too much. It's the Am, Cu & Dbl abilities that are pricey that run its cost up quick .....

You could drop Double and Ambush for Twin, as it accomplishes the same thing for the individual unit and mitigates the Captain making this piece become a crazy powerhouse unit (4 attacks at +13 for 20 damage on a single unactivated enemy!)

Warriors Pride still grants a Twin attack... Since the character has Twin himself, making the 1 attack would result in making 2....Is that the intent for a Twinning Deathshot?

Hmm, yeah, that might need some tweaking if not the intent. Those death shots could be with Cunning as well depending on available targets.

And I could be wrong about timing here... But I think with "death shots" trigger before the actual defeat correct? Which means the 2nd half of WP is null and void?

^ not sure, but the changes are getting a bit confusing to follow. Just made him stronger with Conscription because it doesn't happen when he's defeated, rather whenever an enemy within 6 is defeated. But he still has twin death shots. CHS - Please tell us what you want to happen, so we can offer more specific advice. :)

i wanted the twin death shots thats why i took off cunning so it didn't hit to hard but felt like he was missing something so i added conscription any other mando'e ability i can swap out for Conscript?

.... so my two moves, I move this guy within 6 of a badly beaten up Boba, the second move kills him off, and Bingo, I suddenly get a reasonably healthy Boba on my squad ... somehow, that doesn't sound good for the game.

I don't know if 20 HP is "reasonably healthy", but I never liked the Enemy Conscription ability. What about making Warrior Pride attack the one that killed it, then if you added cunning back in it wouldn't take effect anyway. Plus a final retaliation strike seems fitting for a "Pride" ability.

Looks pretty good the only one I'm not sure on is invasion, just as Surf commented about getting two things, map choice is already pretty balanced. You could make it something like "at the start of the skirmish if your squad contains more (or less) characters than your opponent, characters in your squad gain +2 attack for the rest of the skirmish.

I like this final product a lot. I am against death shots... BUT, I think you made a good compromise, on making them not benefit from CE, and knocking their Attack down by 3. I can live with the cheap attack for it. Nice work
