Special Abilities

  • Emplacement (Cannot move or be moved. Set up anywhere on your half of the battle map.)
  • Force Immunity (Enemies cannot affect this character with Force powers, or spend Force points to reroll attacks against this character or to respond to this character's attacks and abilities)
  • Proximity Detonator (Whenever a character becomes adjacent to this character, it must attempt a save 16. On a failure, immediately remove this character from play; it is defeated.)
  • Self-Destruct 40 (When this character is defeated, each adjacent character takes 40 damage)
  • Stealth (If this character has cover, it does not count as the nearest enemy for an attacker farther than 6 squares when choosing targets)

Singularity Mines were black, seedpod-like creatures whose destruction would result in the temporary creation of a two-meter wide miniature singularity.

I like where you are going with this but I think insta-defeat for any piece is too much. How about just a character moving adjacent defeats this character which would trigger it's self destruct? You could than drop the cost slightly

Oh, that is what it does. I can see how the wording could be misleading. "This character" normally refers to the piece with the SA, so, what happens is, if the moving character fails the save, the *Mine* is defeated (thus triggering SD40). I originally had it as an auto-defeat for the mine, but I though that wouldn't be fair, so I added on the save towards the end of the creation process.

I've always been rather fascinated with mines in SWM (one of the first customs I made was a mine... lol), this one is flavorful (not always easy to do with inanimate objects) and looks fun :)
