Is it overkill?, probably. I read the wiki and couldn't help myself. His story is fantastic. I could have added all kinds of things that tie him to other pieces like Palps or Mirith Sinn but just a bad ace assassin is what I went with. I added restrictive measures like single shot but left the door open for CEs. cost can be changed if needed. 11 SAs is a lot, but I don't think is too crazy
Its from a comic arc "Crimson Empire", which tied some of Dark Horse stuff to Marvel's arcs and all... it's fitting to the character as depicted, as an ultimate version - though the character source material itself was overpowered hehe. 9.5/10
@corellianComedian - indeed, i think it's functionally Blaster +20, similar to on Gen Griev's piece. Its odd, as there is no melee attack specifier, which would seem to counteract the need for blaster 20 or single shot blaster. still, its WiP
Rookie mistake, fixed. Side arm fire is a re-write of blaster 20, but I didn't want it to be included with deadly attack, flurry and assassin. If I left it as blaster 20 he would be shooting at living targets at +16 for 30 and crit on 19 triggering Flurry which would be weird because he would have to do it vs an adjacent enemy as SAF is already used.
I wanted a highly used fringe piece that would go well with any faction in need of a beat stick, but I didn't think about Talon. 20 attack for 40 damage against living enemies is a little much. That's the problem with where we are in creation. You can't just make a piece, you have to consider all 1639 pieces and how they will interact.
Okay, Melee Attack makes sense - and helps keep the cost down. You could go with the totally random rival for Talon. I'm not sure the damage boost is a huge problem, though? He is beefy for a 43 point piece, but he has no FPs for rerolls. I suppose the deadly/flurry could escalate things a bit. But anyways, very nice piece.
